Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
Shucks, I couldn't resist. Here's a pic of the one side that I have cleaned up after a weeks work. Please excuse my tall grass. I have my priorities in order. I'd much rather clean on the impala than cut six acres of grass.

Yes, Jim...da cast iron power-slide will have casting #s, and possibly a VIN, but I doubt it.
You more than likely have the entire, original drivetrain in this one, so I wouldn't worry aboot that. Just document every # you can for future reference.

Joel & Reid,
Since you two are so good at this, here's the trim tag info if you'd like to decode that.

I found the paint code (923), so I already know it's roman red.
I also found the style code (E62-1847). E=june...62=1962...
18=impala V8....47=2 door sports coupe.
All I need is the trim code (874) and the body code (BA 1931)
Joel, you did say "now whut"

Joel,
Have I exhausted your knowledge and your resources on this one?

Geeeezz....ya think i gots nuthin better to do, er whut?
Actuall, sadly....I don't.
Unfortunately, I have no info on Impallers, or really any thing other than 'Vettes. How sad is that? Heck, I cain't even SPELL Impaller!
I DO know the 2 doors were called "Sport Coupe", and list price was $2776, and had a V-8. There was also an "SS" package, for $54.
And....That's all I have to say about that...
