My best friend and lover has been gone for a month to Fairbanks Alaska. I have missed her dearly and could not wait to see her. The flight was scheduled to arrive at 2:48 this afternoon and it was on the ground 20 minutes early....except she wasn't on it

As it turns out 15 minutes before the connecting flight in Seattle was scheduled to leave, after her having a 6 hour lay over, she fell asleep and missed the flight.

A new ticket had to be purchased and now she flies into Phoenix (100 miles away) at 6:50 PM. I probably should be on my way but had to vent a little to release some of the frustration before getting on the freeway.

I actually have to go to both airports, Tucson to get her luggage (done that) and now to Skyharbor International to get her. Next time I will pin a note on her chest...men are always staring at it anyway so I know someone will see it and maybe get her on the plane next time.

I am off on a road trip, see you guys tomorrow.

We are home safe and sound, just a but tired from the extra traveling. Traffic was light both ways which is unusual for I10.  Not much time to talk last night but I took the day off from work to spend together and hear of her adventures. She actually came home with GOLD from her outing of panning at one of the old mines. Although not enough to buy new shocks for the 82  philip2010-07-20 07:54:53

I do not know why someone did not wake her. She checked in and sat there for most of 6 hours waiting for that flight and no one seemed to care that it left without her. The part that gripes my butt is charging her to get on the next plane.

Frankly, if my best friend and lover went to Alaska, I wouldn't want either back.
