Welcome to 2005!

If you haven't already noticed, the final phase of the new membership policy took effect on January 1st and all old accounts were closed. That means the current Total Member count (as can be seen at the bottom of the Home Page or on the Member Stats page) is now under 700. More specifically there are approximately 500 paying members... which is my mind reflects the true number of active members. If someone is willing to pay, then they believe in C3VR and are actively participating in the club.

I expect 2005 to be another great year for C3VR!

EVENTS
Some great events in 2005 to attend including some C3VR Sponsored and/or Attended events like Corvettes for a Cure, Corvettes at Carlisle, Mid America Motorworks Funfest and NCM's C3 Extravaganza. Some members are putting together some other C3VR Member events, like tricer and 1BadLT1. If anyone else is interested in organizing a C3VR event in your area, just post a thread in the appropriate Events forum and be sure to let me know if I can help in anyway.

MEMBERSHIP
I'm hoping membership will continue to grow since it is our members that makes this club truly special. As you are attending Vette shows in your area, please don't forget to take along some C3VR Window Flyers to pass out. If you don't have the means to print them out, or would like me to pay for and send you a large quantity of Flyers, just ask! Also, don't forget you can spread the word about C3VR by sending emails with the help of the Invite a Friend tool.

ONLINE C3 VETTE SHOWS
Don't forget, every year C3VR hosts the ONLY Online C3 Vette show -- twice per year! Every June and December your C3 could be chosen for one of the 3 prizes awarded. Entry into the show usually starts at least 4 months prior to the voting start date. Keep an eye on the Home Page, Email Newsletters and the Features links at the top of the pages for more details.

C3VR MERCHANDISE
I am already looking to get Lapel Pins for us. I am also considering getting some other items with the C3VR Logo on it... perhaps Coffee Mugs, Pens, Tools, Flashlights, Keychains, etc. I haven't picked out which items I think people will want most, but as soon as I have some ideas, I will let you know. If you would like to make some suggestions, just email me: AdamW@C3VR.com

SITE UPGRADES
I still have quite a list of things I would like to do to C3VR.com in order to make it more useful to everyone. As I have time I will be adding/changing features. I will certainly keep you all informed when these new features are added.

SUGGESTIONS
I am ALWAYS looking for suggestions on how to make C3VR.com a better site or how to make C3VR a better club. If you ever have a suggestion, please post a thread in the Official C3 Vette Registry Support/Issues/Comments forum or send me an email: AdamW@C3VR.com

I am really excited about the year ahead and look forward to meeting more of you (or seeing you again) at this year's events!

Thanks to all of you for making C3VR such a great club and for making C3VR.com "The Best Resource on the Net for C3 Vettes"!

Adam, thanks go to you for having the vision, desire, and drive to make C3VR happen. I'm happy I stumbled onto the site when I did and have enjoyed the friendships I've made and lessons/tips/tricks learned from 'the masters' out there.

2004 had more than its fair share of issues and opportunities, but I truely think the club is better for it, sort of a 'coming of age' as it were. Here's hoping that 2005 is full of positives...!!!

Adam,

2004 was not the best year for me, or my vette. We both needed to go through some major changes. This ment that I didn't participate as much with the club as I had planned. Due to your hard work and creativity we have a great club, with some really valuable members - which has kept me coming back and staying with the group. This year my goal is to finish the repairs to the car, and participate more with C3VR. Thank you for making it possible.
