Darnit!!! I wish the road trip was Saturday vs. Friday!
We are going to the Caverans on Friday to do something not so "CAR RELATED" as Nikki does not want to spend our whole vacation time standing in parking lots looking at a sea of Vettes.
The running into and out of the Atlanda Motor Speedway on the trip up is going to be very stressful to keep the group together, etc, but after that we will just be riding along.
Spent yesterday servicing the motor home and we installed a load level bar set on the trailer. What a difference that makes! Took it out for a test drive, and blew a tire on the RV....DOH! I will be buying a tire on MONDAY!
Looks like we will miss the trip to Nashiville as I just don't see....unless we camp at the NCM how in the heck we will be able to get one of the parking passes to go over. I would love to see ZZ top, but I don't want to park in never never land, then take a shuttle around Nashville. What idiot made all the freakin plans in Nashville anyway?????
Any how, we have really no plans for Sunday, and Monday we will head back. It will most likely take us two days to return as Dave is not going to push the 71 too hard.
We plan on seeing you guys Saturday Night. My cell is
904-502-7026 if there are any change in plans, somebody PLEASE call me.
I will post a link to here at CAC and see if we can make an additional combined effort.

Just saw a caravan of corvettes today going down the Interstate in Iowa heading south. Probably heading to Bowling.Green. Man I wish I was one of them. I cant go
I am planning to go to Eureka Springs this fall, It will be my first time to any Corvette gathering. If some body wouldn't mind picking up a T shirt for me while you are down there I would apreciate it. I would pay for shipping plus your fee for the service. Size is XL. If not sorry I wasted the space
Have FUN for all that go!

Well, the gathering is going to be about one month early for us. We're going to be in BG on July 26 and 27. If any of you are there then, you'll see us in and around the NCM, the assembly plant, and the Baymont Inn. You'll recognize us cruising around BG in our sporty Dodge. OK, OK it's a minivan. We can't fit 4 in the Vette.
Why do I always get blamed for everything I do?

We had to turn around and come home just North of Atlanta.
Sorry we won't be seeing you. If all goes well, Dave and Sue (TZracer) should be there.
Long story short....we just had too many mechanical problems with our tow vehicle. We lost the a/c yesterday, and there is no way we could live out of it for the next four days with no air flow.
Catch you next time.
Chris & Nikki
P.S.--Jim, thanks for all the effort to get us to Nashville.

Hey Chris,
Heard from Sue and Dave that you had fired up 'Killer' and were headed back to BG. Hope to catch up with you after you arrive.
Had a light turnout for the road tour today (only 7 C3VR member cars, one of a member's friend (a C5!), and 2 hopefully new members). Steve White had picked a really fun drive through the Mammoth Caves National Park area north of BG. Lots of twists and turns, ups and downs, and a three car ferry boat crossing of the Green River. After I get some time to edit pictures I'll post a link for everyone's viewing pleasure.
Afterwards we all had a chance to visit over beverages and food. A couple more member cars showed up so it was a lot of fun to put faces and voices to folks...!!!
Hope to meet some more C3VR-er's tomorrow at the NCM tour and again at the Santa Fe Cattle Company.

I'll put together a complete post on the C3VR gathering later in the week after I get home (don't want to forget anyone). The weather was great Friday, Saturday, and today. Lots to see for a first-timer's visit to Corvette 'Mecca'. Looking forward to returning in September '04 when we should be able to get to see the inside of the plant (all the tours were booked up for the week!).

Jim (aka Norsky)--great meeting you, and my hat is off to you for all the hard work you did this last weekend.
We drove straight through on Monday and had a two hour delay with a slight mechanical problem on one of the cars.
I created a new page with description and photos of our adventure.
http://mcspeed.homestead.com/untitled1.html
Looking forward to your wrap up of the events, and thanks again for all your hard work and planning.
How is the sunburn?
Thanks to Jim (2) for the great jam from the local area. Steve did a fantastic job of laying out the road tour...at least what I hear since we did not make it there in time......
Catch you later!

Only one picture from the C3VR Dinner Meeting, though

Oh well, wish I could have been there!
