I'm thinking C3VR members should get together some weekend this summer. But I have no clue where is a good location for both convenience and also a cool place to visit. Figure it could be a Saturday-Sunday gig.
Any one have any suggestions?
If we get any good suggestions, I'll do whatever I can to organize it.

Why don't you look at the area where most of the members reside. You may want to try a September event to keep away from the larger shows, National Caravan and Carlisle.

Having some sort of an idea where the geographic center of the membership is would maybe be a help to pick a place. Whether or not it would be a cool place to visit though would certainly be up for interpretation!

Vette(s): Re-acquired 1982 Bright Blue Vette from the guy a sold it to 13 years ago. 1993 40th Anniv. Ruby Convertible- purchased for my wifes 40th birthday-It has Chromed Grand Sport Wheels, Grand Sport Flares and a functional rollbar.
Except for those members way out West, Bowling Green actually looks fairly centrally located to the concentration of membership.
Of course there's always Six Flags Over Texas right here in Arlington!!!

Ok...I ran some totals. Here's how the membership breaks down:
1073 East Total
284 Central Total
276 South Central Total
205 West Total
122 North Central Total
Clearly, the East has the most members, so then I broke the East into 5 groups:
Group 1 = ME, VT, NH
Group 2 = NY, CT, MA, RI
Group 3 = OH, PA, NJ, DE
Group 4 = WV, VA, MD, NC, WA
Group 5 = AL, GA, SC, FL
374 Group 3 Total
247 Group 2 Total
216 Group 4 Total
214 Group 5 Total
18 Group 1 Total
Group 3 has the most members.
And since the next highest groups, 2 & 4 are geographically next to Group 3, it would seem to me that somewhere in group 3 would be the best place.
FYI, PA is the highest in Group 3 with 208 members.
So, I'd say it should be held somewhere in OH, PA, NJ or DE.
Does anyone know of a fun place to visit in those states?
Should it be an Amusement Park, a National Park, a Museum, etc?
Come on gang...lets here those ideas!!!

Bowling Green sounds like a good deal, or seeing as how the C3's were mostly made in St. Louis that might be a good location also. Yes September or early October would be the best as far as the weather, plus the summer crunch for hotel space would be over.

I think it should be limited to the 4 states I mentioned above, PA, NJ, DE, OH since that is where the bulk of the membership is located.

There used to be a big amusement park in the northwest corner of Ohio either near or on the shore of Lake Erie.
The Rock-'n-Roll Hall of Fame is in Cleveland isn't? Or a visit to the Goodyear complex in Akron. Or the Baseball Hall of Fame in Canton? Or the USAAF Museum in Dayton. What about a visit to 'WKRP in Cincinnati'?
Anything of interest in the Pittsburgh area?
Just a few thoughts.

I'm liking the Rock-'n-Roll Hall of Fame idea!
What else do you all suggest?
