Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
I just came up with an idea, and I'd like to get everyone's opinion and also some volunteers would be needed to make it work.
So far, I'm calling it "C3VR National Corvette/Custom Car Cruise Nights"
The idea is simple... once per month (April through October), at various locations around the country on the same night, have a Corvette/Custom Car Cruise Night sponsored by C3VR.
This has the potential to be a big deal, but I can only personally arrange one of the locations, in the Philladelphia, PA metro area.
I'd be shooting to kick this off in April of 2003.
Mostly what each volunteer would have to do is:
1) Find a place to have the cruise night, a shopping center parking lot usual does very well.
2) Spread the word to your local car clubs about the event.
3) Be at each cruise night to administer it, and collect donations.
....Donations would be needed to pay for the costs of the event, and proceeds would go to charity. Currently, I'm thinking of the "Big Brothers/Big Sisters Organization".
The goal is to have a C3VR Event semi-simultaniously accross the country. That way, people won't be able to say, "Boy, I'd love to go to that C3VR event, but it's too far for me!"
Anyone that would be willing to coordinate one of these Curise Nights in their home area, please respond to this thread!
Thanks!
