We will be holding a Virtual Member Gathering, for the first time, in lieu of the in-person Gathering that had to be cancelled.

It will be held via Zoom starting at 7pm ET, Thursday, October 22, 2020 (which would have been the first day of the in-person Gathering).

If you would like to join the Virtual Gathering, please make sure to RSVP and you will be sent the Zoom info.

If you have never used Zoom before, here is a video showing you how to join in.

RSVP Here: https://forms.gle/QZqazNdW6JoLQP4o8

We sure hope you can join us!

Sorry I missed it.  I was replacing axles on the minivan in anticipation of our Monday departure to AZ.  One was stuck and I called it a day at 10:00 pm.

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible

It was great to see folks the other night.  I bailed before (if) discussions came up about gathering locations for 2021.  My vote would be to call a mulligan and skip the rotation and just keep 2021 in Texas.  The planning's done, and people had signed up - why change it?!  That said, we won't make it as we are actually pretty booked for 2021 already (believe it or not), but I would think that would make the most sense

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

We pretty much decided that since Bryan is willing to host again we'll just do it in Ft. Worth. We also decided to wait for fall since we're all pretty certain that spring will still be too soon at the rate at which covid-19 is still running wild right now.

Great idea and nice to see all of you. Someone had asked what lift I had - I bought it from TEC equipment in MA about 13 years ago. They sell Mohawk products but do carry a line of 4 post lifts, made off shore, which is what I have. The quality of these has gotten much better in recent years. I’ve had no problems with mine and use it for routine fluid changes, light repairs and detailing. (and apparently I stand on my head when using it?)

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Hey Willis... Another question concerning your lift. How high did your trusses have to be to have the lift? I'm thinking of building a shop, but haven't decided to go with a pole barn type, that would have trusses like yours, or all metal that wouldn't have trusses and could go with lower walls and cost more too! Also, what size did you make your shop and do you wish you had gone bigger or smaller? I'm thinking about one maybe about 30'x50'. They fill up so fast..lol

One thing to consider with a lift is the placement in the garage/shop.  If you have the depth put it far enough back so you can open the garage door without having to lower the lift first.  If you don't have the depth move the horizontal tracks closer to the ceiling by adding vertical pieces to the track and then shorten the angle pieces the opener is hanging on from the ceiling.  Replacing the normal chain/belt drive door opener with one that mounts to the front wall frees up more space on the ceiling but they are a little more expensive.

Depending on the height of the vehicles you'll be stacking I would think a 10 foot ceiling height would be enough.  12 foot would be a little nicer.
