Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.
vettealussion said: I went through and read a lot of the posts. There is a ton of Corvette sites and a ton of information for free and you can get a lot of it right from GM. All or most all your shows are in Pa. and I'm not fron Pa. So I guess you can cancel me out of here. Thank you ![]() |
OMG can you believe this garbage. He only has 2 posts. We won't miss him!!!!

Just one man's opinion but...I understand there are costs associated with maintaining a decent web site such as C3vette and think we can all learn something from each other. It would seem to me by the number of members and the potential dollars to be spent restoring and maintaining corvettes, vendor paid advertisements should be able to support the site. You may be driving away existing & potential new members by your plan to charge for membership. I would think the more members you have the more willing vendors would be to advertise with C3vette.
From a web site business point of view, it may make more sense to go after the larger membership roster and draw in the new vendors with their paid ads and potential for profits from this elite group. Thanks!

The $10.00 is not too much to pay when you enjoy something. If nothing else, I enjoy beeing active in aomething with my Kids. Ken is staying and so am I. I don't own a Vette, but have owned quite a few other car, autos or even junkers in my lifetime. A source of info as I have seen here would have been worth a lot to me back then. I'll learn from this also.

Adam, you have a great site. I'm old enough to know that nothing is free in this world, if you're not paying for it, then someone else is. Count me in and keep up the good work. May God continue to Bless the USA.

I have visited the site a few times. Met Adam at the Corvette Museum Summer of 2002. Have followed the site on and off for some time. I have been a "standard member" paying nothing...Now that I own my first Vette (and I am just a few months from being 60 years old)...I am seriously considering the Lifetime Membership. I plan on using the site a lot as I begin my own "frame off Resto"...Keep up the good work Adam. I appreciate all the "volunteerism" you have done to get the site started. Sorry I have not purchased the Lifetime membership sooner...By the way, if the young Jr. High kid who cannot afford his membership dues will contact me...I will pick up his first year's annual membership Adam...And, I would even consider paying some of the other "dropouts"...if they can send me some real justification as to why they can't afford their membership...vette-74

I haven't been here long - only since January.
I'm having fun here, so, I went for the Gold last weekend. Truth is, when I stacked them side by side, I didn't see any huge advantage to me personally between Standard and Lifetime. I'm perfectly content with my Standard access. But, I feel that the common sport/hobby/fascination/addiction that we share is worth sustaining - well beyond its personal value to me. So, I gladly handed over ten bucks to pay for my fun. And the other $15 is to (hopefully) provide the means for someone else to have some fun here. I strongly agree with Eric that there needs to be a free trial period so that new people can see what C3VR has to offer. Otherwise, it's like the shoe store charging just to try on new shoes.
Hell, if we were talking about a site for Yugo owners, you couldn't find five people willing to pay ten CENTS to be part of it.
But, that's not what we're talking about.
It's about the Corvette itself, not the owners. The one and only TRUE American sports car. We don't even own them, really - we are the caretakers of them. We put our cash into them to help preserve an idea, a legacy and a realized dream.
Here endeth the lesson.
