This is a great site, and $10 bucks is small. I've saved much more than that by being part of the discussions here. If you can't afford $10, how can you afford to run a vette? |headscratch|

I'll be staying!

Please cancel my membership.

After reading the article 'Apology and Plea for Help from Adam', why would I pay for something that you are not even treating as a business? There are very good forums that are FREE, like www.corvetteforum.com and www.corvettefaq.com - and they are even professional!

I'm with him. Getting one question answered by someone in the know is worth ten bucks. I kinda see both sides but for me I'm sending in my cash.

Unfortunately, I will let my membership expire. I feel it is important to associate w/C3 members, but I don't really use the site very often to justify the cost. Before I go, I will submit some articles and be happy to answer any questions for other members. I'm sure mgmt took everyone's best interest in mind before they made their decision, and i'm sure it wasn't an easy one. Good luck in the future and I'll see you at the events.

WOW...!!! |eek| I am certainly amazed by all the negativity...!!! NOTHING is 'free' these days, especially when any form of technology is a part of it. Somewhere there is a bill being paid by someone, if not directly out the pocket certainly through some form of government funding (and who funds the government - we all do!).

I'm here for the long haul and proud to be a part of a great venue for folks who love their C3s enough to show it by supporting this site.

If there are 3700 members and all have to pay $10 that would generate almost $37,000 per year.
What is all this cash going to be used for? Understand that there are operating costs, but they cant be that high.

Wow Adam, this looks like it has caused quite a stir. After getting the email notice and coming to the site and reading the update statement on the charge for membership I didn't think it was that big of a deal. But, then I scrolled down to view the reply's to it and man, it looks like a lop sided turn of events for many people to cancel. I hate to see that.

I have paid for a gold membership and will stick around! For now. Since the first day I found this site I have been able to go in and ask questions and find someone out there that was able to help me with some advice and a bit of encouragement. But, I never once thought twice about paying for that membership.
I personally don't feel that the $10.00 bucks a year is out of hand.

Thanks for your time and diligence to make available a site like this and I hope that this doesn't present the begining of the end for it.

Truely concerned here............... |sad|

I will continue my paid support! If only one tip helps me, it's money well spent. I belong to another club for my other car and it isn't free either. These sites cost money to operate.
