seems to me that if you're upset, you must see a value to this site. I do and that's why I became a gold member. I have learned a lot and appreciate all the shared knowledge. have even contributed any meager knowledge I have. if you can't afford it or it's against your principles, it is understandable that you leave and we will miss you. I just don't think there is any need to be negative.

I will be paying the $10. As much as I know it's cheap for the things I can learn, and just the fun of it. You go to Mcdonalds twice and spend more than that.

I don't believe you people are leaving for $10.00 a year ,thats only 84 cents a month, this is a great site!As for other sites being free,Ain't nothing free man, somebodies paying for it,Adams been working his ass off on this thing, especially now that he is back to work.8 hours a day at the dealer ship then coming home an working on this thing most of the night, give the man a break its got to be a lot of work.I my self am hanging on for the LONG HAUL ,was already thinking about jumping up to lifetime member when my gold expires,I really enjoy getting and giving information its helped me out a lot working on my own Vette.Just talking with all you Vette owners out there is great, all right I'll get down off my soap box now,we will miss the ones who leave, but I think all the true C3 owners will stick with me. THE SHARKS RULE

Ten bucks is NOTHING! I've saved ten times that at least just from taking suggestions from those who have "been there and done that" before me. This is my first C3 and belive me I appreciate greatly all the tips from everyone. I can't help others too much with the C3 yet but as I gain experience with the car my turn will come.
I'm in!
P.S.- Did'nt Adams e-mail say that your membership would cancel automaticaly on your anniversary and that you don't have to send a cancellation notice? I guess some guys just like to slam the door on the way out.

$10 is nothing but I don't pay to see my friends and ask them questions.Peace................out.I don't pay and never will pay for free interchange of info.Off to another site..

Sometimes we feel change is a good thing. In this case, I'm not sure.
I suppose $10 is not very much, but if you loose 75% of the your member base in the process, you might as well shut the site down now. As they say, $5 here, $10 there, another $45 over here and pretty soon you're talking real money.
To me it might make more sense to now combine with one of the other sucessful sites and lower the costs for all in the process. You certainly have something of value to bring to the table, a great bunch of passionate C3 owners, experience in maintaining a web site and a commmon love of the Chevrolet Corvette!
Good luck and much success in however this shakes out.

Adam,
I'll gladly pay to help you recoup costs. I KNOW you aren't making $$ off this. I'm a little disapointed that the occasional users will drop out, leaving only the die-hard users of the site left, but you gotta do what you gotta do. HOWEVER, I HAVE ONE SUGGESTION: If you main answer guys leave, as markdtn suggested he will do above, the site will die. I hope that doesn't happen, as it's a great forum. Please consider giving free memberships to the most valuable and frequent contributors, as we all depend on their knowledge so much. It seems that 5 - 6 guys really hold this site together, none being more critical that the king, Ken Styer. Hell, sometimes I think he should be getting paid for this. I enjoy learning from his postings even on topics that don't pertain to me!

Adam... you have done a great job with this site, and those of us that truly appreciate it will not find any difficulty in helping support it. For those leaving, I think that you need to re-examine and compare the value of what you got here versus what $10 buys you elsewhere. This is our hobby and enjoyment, available anytime you wish. Covering a portion of the cost is nothing more than paying to see a movie or buying a couple of beers. And for those that really think that the internet is free... guess again.

Vette(s): 1976 bright yellow T-Top purchased new 6/76.
For many years I had an '81 daily driver but sold it several years ago for a front drive ricer. Now the Mrs. has a '95 coup & I still have the '76.
Adam:
You've done a superb job putting this all together & keeping it going at no cost to most for so long. I commend you! Although I rarely get the opportunity to sign on (due to other commitments, etc) , I will gladly contribute towards a yearly membership or better yet try to find the means to pay for a Lifetime Membership! It's money well spent & I'm sure those who remain will continue to appreciate the benefits!
Thank you & keep up the good work,
Joel

Hey Adam:
It looks like your biggest supporters are '70 & '76 Vette owners! I wonder how may other's are original owners?
