It might help if you posted a breakdown of what exactly the "operational expenses (that) continue to climb" are. Maybe it's time to start cutting "operational expenses" instead of charging dues. If I'm gonna' pay I'd really want to know exactly how the generated money is going to be used. What happens to the excess money if there is any? I don't often post, but I do often visit just to read. We all drive vettes, and $10 is nothing compared to the $$$$ we sink into these tubs to keep them running. I'm not opposed to paying to belong, but it would be nice to see an accounting of the cash flow.

For me, for now, I'll decide at a later date. I check the forum out almost every nite, probably more than I should. I enjoy everybodies comments/help & try to help when I can. But, as others have said, it's not the $10 it's the reasoning that the Internet is (for the most part) a place you can trade information for free. Adam HAS done a great job & he deserves a round of applause! Maintaining a site is hard work & time consuming & should be "rewarded". I'm off on a rant, I'll decide later. Sorry so long.

I think even with a base of 500 interested C-3 owners, it's still a great forum for information and ideas.
I visit here quite often and the names I've seen beside the negative comments are unfamiliar to me. Like every group of this nature, there will always be a "core group" of active members willing to help and advise others. Ken has to be at the top of that list. On the flip side of that, you get the "nay sayers". In my opinion we can do without that!
I'll be in for the membership and will be most happy to help anyone I can, I'm no expert, but I've done several vettes from frame offs to wrecks to mild customs.

You can count me in! I need this site to get information. I think you will keep those that enjoy talking about C3's. I figure about half the people canceling will rejoin as they find themselves on the outside looking in. I think this is a great site, and you guys provide a great forum for us to discuss our issues. Thanks!

Please cancel my membership. I will not pay for something that I can get for free elsewhere - be it another site or thru my local corvette club. I will be removing my window decal from my car as well.

Man, I just can't see why people are getting their panties in such a twist about this! Adam has time and cost involved in setting this tool up for fellow enthusiasts. Let's just let the man get his costs back and move on with the site! I'll bet it gets better! When I was involved with clubs and I or someone else spent money for the club, or a club function, we were re-imbursed. Remember clubs have dues to cover operating costs too. I've gotten more from here than any club I've been in.

Ditto on what Dave just said, most of the members who are bitchin, are members I've never seen b-4.there are a whole bunch of great people in here, mechanics, teachers, old truck drivers like myself and Fedexbickman
buisiness men and woman, and everyday people who just plain love CORVETTES,I hate to see anybody leave, hope you reconsider, remember C3s are the best Vettes and this site is where the cream of the crop keep them alive.

The lifetime membership level looks daunting at first but you can break it down & pay for it over a number of months like I did.
