I feel that if you're really going to use and/or contribute to the site, $10.00 is nothing. Four lattes at Starbucks. I'm behind you 100%. If you only learn one thing a year, its worth $10.00.

Count me in Adam. I don't post much, but I get tons of info from C3VR. So for the price of a small drink a month we get a world of infomation to help us with our hobby that we love so much. Hate to lose you guys, going to miss you, but I think you will miss us more.

Thanks Adam |bouncy| |thumb|

Wow! I can't believe what I'm reading. I have saved so much more on repairs to my '76 from learing from others on this site than anything else. It's a shame that we might be losing a lot of knowledge for $0.84 a month.
If it wasn't for this site, I would not have known about the O-ring replacements for brakes (which could have saved me $240 if I would have made a post sooner), or the web site to buy a new and correct temperature sensor.
Free exchange of information or a $240 mistake? I've already made my decision:
I'm staying, and I encourage more to do the same.

Adam- please take all the negative comments as just what they are-negative. I have had only positive experiences with this great site. The information I've learned in just a short period is invaluable to me...(THANKS KSTYER!!!)

Count me in,buddy!! |thumb| |thumb| |thumb|

Besides, if KSTYER stays, I stay, he's my vette hero. |haha|

I'll contact you soon about upgrading my membership, after this wave subsides.

Keep up the good work, Adam.

Alan

I'll sure stay. $10 is a bargain! I always wondered how this much info(and entertainment!)could be free. I get home from a day at work and unwind by checking out the site. Usually check in several times a night to see what's new. I joined last Oct. 03 and have noticed SEVERAL members newer than me. Most of the members quiting? First time I've seen their names. My only concern is that future new members won't join because of the up front fee. Maybe a 30 day free trial(with NO selling privileges)so lookers can see what a great site this is. Mike

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
I thank everyone for your comments about me. But I truly learn a lot from everyone else, and I thank all of you for that. I worked fixing these cars at a Chevy dealer when they were new, and I still learn a lot from the family here. Let's face it, there are things I have forgot, or never knew. There are things you do to a 30 year old car that didn't need done in a dealership. I don't feel I can do without you guys and gals. I love the site, I love Corvettes. I love the fun of being here. I love helping people. I love the help I get, even when I don't post I pay attention to everything. I learn.

As far as posting the cost and ledgers about the site. Adam, don't do it. It doesn't matter to me or anyone with any sense who has taken a few minutes to think. You have spent a great deal of time and money to benefit everyone here. It can only be defined as a labor of love. This has got to be a part time, if not a full time job for you. There is expense involved. So what if you do make a few dollars? You deserve more than what you will make for the time and expense involved. You are still working too cheap. And I thank you as much as I can. No one here would work that hard for that little. I have no doubt that you could make more per hour with the phrase "Do you want fries with that?"

For those who want to know, I just bought my basket case 75 C3 last December, and a new digital camera yesterday. I don't know how long it will take me, or how far I will go, but I plan on taking pictures of everything I do to the car along the way. I have not started yet, it's too cold. And as odd as it may seem, I don't have a garage. Just a driveway. This hopefully will help us all.

As I already said, I will stay. I welcome everyone to stay with me. Nothing is as important as my wife and kids. Corvettes and "the other family" comes in next. I have been accused of having gas instead of blood. I waited 30 years for this part of my life, and I'm going to keep it. You would have to throw me out.

Ken Styer

Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.
Adam:
I must say that for the most part I agree it should be free, however, NOTHING IS FREE!!!! I know this and so does everyone else. I think 10.00 is not alot for a years worth of service. I mean to be able to come here ask questions, read others advice, and to be able to share some of your own, is worth it. I think that even with the people that are leaving now, they aren't regular users as it is. So it's not that big of a loss. There are a handful of us that rely on this site and will pay that 10.00 or even upgrade.

I love this place and when I am due, I will pay 10.00 it's worth the .83 per month charge.

The stuff I have learned here on what to buy, who to buy it from and such is worth it. Keep up the good work!!!!
