I have heard a couple of dozen complaints about various issues with the site since the forumware was upgraded.

If you are having issues, please answer the following:

1) What issue(s) are you having?
2) What browser are you using? (IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc)
3) What is your browser version? (6,7,8,etc.)
4) What operating system are you using? (Windows ME, XP, Vista, MAC, etc)
5) If you are having issues with pages taking a long time to load, is it taking a long time for the content to load (long time before you can read a post) or is it taking a long time for the page to complete loading?  What does the status bar at the bottom of your browser say while it is taking a long time to load?
6) If you have having problems with Access Denied... when you get that message, does it say "Logged in as [your user name]" at the top left of the page AND also say "Logout [user name]" at the top right of the forum page (near the Member List link).?
7) What is your connection speed?  (dial-up, cable, dsl, fios, etc)

I've used IE, Firefox and Chrome and have not experienced any of the problems people have talked about so it is hard for me to figure out what is going on.

I'm trying to gauge just how serious the problem is.

Thanks!

adam maybe the problems were from not being used to the new software as people get used to one way. maybe they complained and then found the answer so there are no continuing problems. i have had a few because of a few things being changed but after i looked i found them so no problems. some other complaints may have been the same nature. i think it's running greatBig smile

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
Seems a tad slower, but I changed internet service, and that may be it.
A few things took me a few extra seconds to figure out,  but easily found.

I really like the members cars on the top.

I did NOT "vote", or check a box on the poll, but I do think the site response is slower. It seems to take longer for me to get logged on than "normal", and it does take longer to load pages than before, for me. You know I've had speed issues before, but that had really pretty much gone away with some "tune-up" work on my 'puter.
I did notice you have "trouble with posting and site freezes my browser or PC" listed....I am definitely having that issue with Firefox/C3-4-6VR, but I cannot 100% say this has coincided with the new forumware install. I do know that when typing in a post, it will "freeze" the cursor, and I will have to wait a few seconds to be able to continue with my message.
Don't know if ANY of these particular issues are directly related to the new forumware, but that's what I'm dealing with.

ok...WHY did this post start halfway down the post box??? I did turn off my sig for this post, but....

Also...I will say that after being logged in on the site(s) for maybe 10 minutes or so, everything does start to go a little faster, and the response time is much better...if that makes any sense, or difference...Adams' Apple2009-04-14 19:33:02

Every once in  awhile I get a message informing me that I do not have access to do a particular action.  Logging out of the site and logging back in usually clears it up for a little bit.  I have cleared the temporary internet file cache of cookies and files from C3VR and that usually takes care of the issue for several days.

The site's response speed generally seems to be faster for me.

I had the problem listed by Norsky, but I had it just once, the very first day and I have not had a problem since.

None of the survey questions match my problem exactly.  Other than having to familiarize myself with the new format, the only problem Im having is speed.  Page load is much slower, so much so that I have started opening posts in a new window so I dont have to wait for the original page to reload when I hit the back button.
