Ok folks... Put on your thinking toques...

It may be that the menu at the top of all the pages here on C3VR could use reorganization.  Many things have been added since the site was originally conceived and more things are about to be added soon.  So I thought about trying to reorganize it myself, but I keep looking at it thinking it is fine.  But then again, I don't have much imagination.

So, I'd like anyone that wants to, to create a new menu list for the site.

Rules are:
"Home" has to appear on the left side, 1st item.
After that, you can call the main items whatever you want. Typically, one word works best so it takes up as little space as possible, and that way you can fit more main items in.
Then, after you come up with the main items, fit the current sub-items in where you think they belong into your new main items.
Currently, "Home" does not have anything under it.  If you think it makes sense to have items under it, then you can do that.  (Take a look at CorvetteActionCenter.com).

There should be room for up to 8 main items.

Make sense?

Thanks!

Adam, the only thing I see right now would be to put both the smaller Current Active Threads and the larger Active Threads in the Last 24 Hours under Home.  I know I like going to the larger one most of the time and would make it faster and easier.  Also, you might consider putting the C3VR Forums under Home also in case someone wanted to go there first.  Just my 2 cents.

Thinking toques!! That's funny thar, eh?

I won't be any help here...I never go to the "Home" page anyway...and rarely use any of the menu buttons, either, except the "My Account" one. I didn't even know there were two different versions of the "Active Threads"...
I really should log on more often...it seems like I'm missing something....it all looks otay to me too...

Something I've often wished for is a direct link to the Private Messenger.  A link under one of the headings (maybe "My Account?") would be GREAT!!

Thanks for working hard to make the best site on the net even BETTER!

I struggle to find Instant Messenger. I also had some trouble trying to figure out the format and how the thing works. I admit that I don't use it frequently partly due to the previous reasons. maybe an Instant Messenger headear below the Private Messenger header would help. I use the Chat Room in its place primarily because it does the same thing and is much easier to locate.

Header item About should be reviewed and updated. Press & Newsletters doesn't have any new items in it since October of 07. (Which may be current?) Letters from Members doesn't have much content.

One of the things I have always like about the registry was the ease to manuver around. Thanks for asking for suggestions Adam, you just keep making it better!

Almost all the sites that I frequent or used to use the vBulletin format.  I perfer this format over the C3VR's format.  I've always wished that we would change to this format, it just seem alot more user frendly.

Yes everything seems real good here, although keep it easy and simple for those of us over 40 and who are not computer geeks. Thank you!Big%20smile P.S. When I take a new picture I'll have you set it up for me.LOLAaron19762008-04-11 20:01:51

I'm a bit confused. You are saying you prefer vBulletin OVER C3VR?  What specifically do you like better?
