Hello all...
I wanted to let you know that I am leaving for Carlisle tonight.
I will do my best to get online over the weekend, but I'm not sure how often or when.
If you need any assistance over the weekend, please contact one of the fine Moderators to see if they can assist you.
Thanks!

Adam was spotted Friday at the C3VR booth, registration form in one hand and hot dog in the other. He needed to be reminded that he could not SELL the hot dogs without a certificate from the local board of health.
Seriously, I spent a couple hours with him at the booth and we signed up a couple dozen new members before lunch. We had a chance to make some new members and to meet some existing members, one from as far away as Colorado ( Alex Nelson of Vette Specialities ). Look for info on him in the electrical postings about stereos.
It is really nice to now be able to put a face to some of the names I see here in the forum. I hope many more of you will be stopping by the booth over the weekend.

Stopped by the booth and saw Adam. Great show! Had a blast. Did a LOT of walking.

Drove the orange machine out to Carlisle Thursday night from Connecticut & spent the entire day Friday enjoying the show. Had my hot dog, coke & cookie at the C3VR booth with Adam who was reeling in new members by the dozen. Had a productive day -- replaced a rear view mirror, replaced 2 cracked tail lights & found my long-sought-after seat belts. Had a good 30 minute chat with Al Knock (the interior guru) himself -- really nice guy. I think re-doing my seats is a project for next year. (When you see what a nice job they do, you realize how old and tired the ones in your car look.) Had quite an interesting ride home. Left Carlisle around 8pm. After a quick fuel stop in Harrisburg, my starter decided to stick -- engine running with starter engaged and key no longer in the ignition! Kind of scary -- quick panic -- how do you shut it down? I popped the hood, took off the air filter cover & smothered the carb with a rag. It was looking like I was going to spend the night in harrisburg! After letting it cool down for 1/2 hour, I tried it again and the started moved but was really weak. A guy with a '69 saw me & had a battery box -- we hooked it up & it gave me just enough to get it started (and the starter did not stick!) Kept the car running all the way to CT -- even for gas in NJ.
It's now safely in the garage but will not start at all. Anyone replaced a starter themselves???
Anyway -- it was a great (but quick) trip! ~ Joe

Joe, other than the car problems, sounds like you had a great time. I just replaced the starter on my CE this spring. Wasn't too bad of a job, of course I have more crap on my car than you do. Let me know if I can give you any advice when you decide to do it

I worked with Adam a couple hours Saturday. Helped him set up and signed up a few new members. Not much traffic as it was raining. Stopped by later in the day and he was doing great. Nice to meet you Adam. Chuck

Hey everybody... I'm back!
Thanks to everyone that helped out at the tent...there were times where it was very much needed to have an extra person there!
Juliet was the final helper on Sunday, and I have to tell ya...she's a hell of a salesperson! She'd even stop in the middle of a converstation with me to go talk with anyone that walked up to the tent!
Again, thanks to everyone that helped, and thanks to all the current members that stopped by to say hi!
We got about 50 new members signed up (in person) and 18 of those are Gold Members!
Hope to see some of you in Bowling Green later this week!
