IMPORTANT: These issues pertain to ALL C3VR Members, please read and if you were unable to attend, please reply to this thread to add your comment, questions & suggestions!

What does C3VR do well?
1. Tips
2. Not a lot of "garbage" on the site
3. Instant/Private message feature is useful
4. Event notification is nice
...TO DO: Adam needs to change lead time from 1 week to 2 weeks.
...TO DO: Adam needs to change to send out on Monday instead of Thursday

What can C3VR do better?
1. Length of Forum search be longer than 90 days
...TO DO: Adam will research impact of making this happen and implement if feesable
2. Separate text signature from image in signature
...TO DO: Adam needs to implement this change
3. Automatically resize images when uploaded
...TO DO: Adam need to see if this is possible, implement if possible

C3VR Opportunities & Threats
1. Threat: $10 member fee may scare some people away. Determined that we don't really want/need these people as part of membership anyway.
2. Opportunity: Make use of members' experience to help each other.
...TO DO: Add a "bio" to member profiles. Ask members to enter some info about themselves and their experience level.
3. Opportunity: Add list of "Resource Links" to other sites on the net that have useful C3 info

Advertising & Membership
1. Members need to be made aware that they can download "New Member Information" flyers from the "About" menu.
2. Get into "Event Goodie Bags" at various events throughout the country.
...TO DO: Members need to get in touch with event people to see if we can put our flyers in their bags. Download form to print, or contact Adam to have sent to you.
3. Could we get a list of C3 owners from NCM? Not sure if NCM keeps this info, but even if they did, privacy issues would prevent them from giving it to us.
4. Need "C3VR Ambassadors" in local Vette clubs to help promote C3VR and it's events.
...TO DO: Need C3VR Members to volunteer to do this.
5. Press releases sent to magazines.
...TO DO: As situations warrant, send press releases to Vette magazines to promote C3VR & it's events
6. Have flyers for display on your Vette at local car shows/cruises:
...TO DO: Members need to print out flyers or ask Adam to mail them some to take with them.

Live Chats
Decided to hold a monthly formal chat session. Will be held 1st Wednesday of every month at 9:30pm ET. Topic to use will match the forum categories on the site.
...TO DO: Adam needs to post a schedule somewhere on the site.

Picture Area
Decided it would be useful to have a picture area that can be used to show people how things should look when they are correct. Needs to be separated by category.
...TO DO: Adam needs to implement this feature.

Mechanic Directory
...TO DO: Members need to enter info into this directory.
...TO DO: (already done) add Disclaimer to main directory page.

Vendor Directory
Decided it does not make sense to have this feature due to "free advertising" issues.

Volunteers Needed
Need volunteers for Regional C3VR Events, Local workshops, C3X Annual Help
...TO DO: Recruit volunteers

Annual C3VR Meeting
What region? Town? Keep it at C3X?
...TO DO: (already done) First, Post survey to determine if 2005 meeting should be at C3X or somewhere else
...TO DO: If majority vote is for "somewhere else", post survey to determine location

OTHER
Sarge81 suggested that we should have an NCM Ambassador and nominated Norsky (Jim).
Jim accepted. There was much rejoicing! ;)
...TO DO: Jim needs to contact NCM to become an Ambassador

Thanks to Jane Steinke (butch's vetts) wife, who volunteered to take these notes during the meeting.

Looks like it was a very productive meeting. It seems to me that things were well thought out and givin a really good looking over.. Looks like a very intensive list to be working on for the next year. Very Fine job to all that attended. |thumb| |hammer| |wavey|

Vette(s): 2004 Commemorative Edition Coupe, Auto w/HUD. 13K miles in 2015. Sold 1982 Red Coupe
It was a very productive meeting with good response from the members present.
Now we need feedback from members at large.
As Adam said many times, this is our forum and its success depends on all of us.
Please give your constructive input here.

Maybe there could be a link to member web sites that have technical information. Many members have very useful information that is not accessed unless they reply to a post.

How about the possibility of having regional get togethers/meetings, maybe form loose type regional chapters.

I have met many C3 owners here in San Antonio who are not happy with the local corvette clubs, who in their minds cater to C4’s or newer cars and tend to disregard C3’s. Myself not being much of a saleman, I think with wealth of knowledge I have gained thru this site can sell just about anybody I talk to.

I do like the action items the meeting produced.

Rick

I strongly suggust REGIONAL Meetings (or weekends) also....

Wife and I just had a blast at Hershey last year BUT a meeting in Texas or Kalifornia is just out of the question
and the guys and gals who live in Texas or Kalifornia most likely feel the same way about having a meeting in New Orleans ..

I would like to see political and religious threads separated and not listed with threads on the subject of this forum. That is C3's.

Actually, I agree with Hank. It's not that I want to stop all of these comments, but I think we get carried away. Can it be restricted?

Looks good to me. I especially like the idea for pictures of how things should look. this could have saved me a lot of time, money and grief.

I also like the ida of occcasional regional metings.

Keep up the good work.
