While my comment was aimed at the content rather than the poster, I'll also put forth my apology if it offended anyone. Certain issues run deep within people and will/can cause a divide within the membership. To leave it open or closed is your decision. I view this as more of a "time and place" issue and this website as an online C3 club/meeting and as such off topic posting inappropriate.

I'm not sure how many sentences .02 cents buys so I'll keep it short: I also apologize if I offended anyone, I'm guilty of reacting without much thought behind it. I find if I just breathe into this paper bag for 20 sec. I calm down |laugh|
Honestly though we could keep it open but absolutly no POLITICS OR RELIGION ...cant even make fun the SOX anymore... RATS!!! |cussing|

I would hate to see non-vette general discussions eliminated.

I like sharing stories, jokes, experiences, etc. with like minded friends.

We don't need to talk Vettes 24/7.

We all have other interests.

Adam can close it completely, but I would be in favor of keeping it open, with restrictions.

If you don't want to read the non-vette stuff, don't open the mail.

It is a tad more complex than that... simply coming to C3VR (main page www.c3vr.com) you see the 24 hour active thread list which shows the thread titles... and the thread titles in question were emotion sparking in themselves.

If I had to manually go to the Non-Vette section to see the posts there that would be one thing, but just coming to C3VR (www.c3vr.com) and having these topics in my face is quite another.

We'll see what Adam decides and how this plays out.

I mainly come here to talk C3's. Email and Instant Messaging (and other sites) are available for personal interactions and non-vette matters.

But I said my 2 cents worth long ago, and now I have tossed out another 2 cents worth. Total value is still only 2 cents (at most). |laugh|

I happen to be a moderator at another car site. The off topic forum there is pretty much always out of control. Unfortunately, the moderators of the OT forums think that all of us that just frequent the tech forums should have to abide by their childish rules... I say phooey! Send them to Dr.Phil.com!

I agree with Roger...
