Yes, I will refrain from making any more political statements on this vette forum. I love this forum and I love you guys for being here. I do agree it is out of place to have such discussions here and this is a refuge for some of us away from the constant bombardment of other people's political opinions. Lets keep the general non vette category open, but we all need to make a general agreement to keep politics out. There are hundereds of other forums on the net for the politics debates. I apologise for my own "stirring of the pot" in this forum.

This is a C3 Corvette Forum.

If folks want to discuss non-Vette issues there are plenty of other places on the web that are specifically designed for this purpose. Members can even IM between themselves if they so desire.

C3VR would better server the C3 community if we kept it to C3 and C3VR related topics.

I agree. in the past, I reacted to a posting in the heat of the moment. I now try not to put myself in that position by ignoring posts with political or religious msg titles. you never know what's going to rub you the wrong way. what's ok at 3:00 may not be at 3:05. and, who's going to want to share information with someone whom they just had a heated disagreement. correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that this site was for the exchange of information about C3's.
I, for one, will continue to be a member of this forum and contribute as much as I can whether the topics for discussion are limited or not. I will choose not to read those that could be offensive. but, without some type of control on your part Adam, this site may become unattractive to old and potentially new members. I fear we have lost some already.
that was a lot of .02 worth. thanks for reading it.
Hank

I don't think I ever replied to any of the political issues, but it sure was fun reading them. |laugh|

C3VR is the only forum I read, due to time restraints.

I wouldn't waste my time on any others.

I read every post to broaden my knowledge about Corvettes, but sometimes the non-Vette issues are educational too.

I think some people just got fed up with too much of one thing.

I would hate to see this forum closed, but it can't be tolerated on a personal level.

Express your opinion about the subject, not the messenger.

We are all adults and need to respect everyone here.

Just my $.02.

Close it. I decided to remain a STANDARD member rather than upgrade because I'm here for Corvette related topics. Because of all the off topic stuff I've been wandering over to CAC and Corvette Forum much more often. A lot of the same OT over there but don't read it there. This is the ONLY site that I read ALL of the posts. I feel I kinda know some of the folks here so I like to look in and see what's being said in response, but I have NO interest in the actual political, etc. posts.

I'm with DW, here. I'll say one thing about the writers of such threads....they've got a burning passion for their country, and you gotta love that! It may die down on its own, that was one heck of an election, remember. If I'm not in the mood, I don't "click it".

Where do you deposit the 2 cents?

Hi Adam
I would like to see this be the C3 site that you originated and nothing else. There is a time and a place
to express your opionions about various issues, but this is not the place to do that!I hope that we can continue
to help each other out with technical problems and contue
the quest of crusinng. There is a lot going on in the world but lets see thru that and continue our personal
quest of having our own best Vette!
