How about a way to ''quote'' when making a reply?
Also..being able to see the thread or maybe the individual post that you are replying to?

The suggestion for a Quote feature has been around for awhile. It is something I plan to work on within the next week or two.
Stay tuned!

Attention Everyone:
The "Reply" button has moved from the top of the Message View window to the left side, next to each individual message or reply to a message. Clicking the "Reply" button next to the message you wish to Quote, will allow you to Quote that message on the Entering Message page.
If you have any questions or problems with this new feature, please let me know!
Enjoy!

I tried this earlier and obviously missed something as I was expecting the message to which I was replying to automatically pop into the reply window. This time I noticed the Quote button just above the reply window and just like magic *Poof* the text of the message popped in. Cool...!!! Thanks Chief!

Hey Adam,
Got a question on the Online C3 Vette Show. Where does the picture get pulled from? I thought it was supposed to come from the Vette Picture URL: entry on our profile page, but that isn't what is appearing on the display of my entry. What is showing up is the smaller version of the picture I have entered in the Forum Signature:. What did I miss this time?

Jim,
It is coming from the "Photo URL" item in your "Register Your C3" profile.

Hey Adam,
Just remember you asked.
The main forums page is great, but it would be nice to not have to go there all the time to change forums. Converting either the Forums tab or the C3VR Forums link to a drop down of available forums would help us "56k-ers" save some quality time when traversing between forums.
Would it be possible to display the full path name somewhere in the Personal File Folder and Personal Home Page areas? Or have I missed seeing it? Just noticing the problems lately some folks have been having getting pictures included in their signatures, I think part of it has been not knowing what all to include for the picture location.
- or -
Place Browse buttons that would point to the members file areas to aid in file selection.
Is it possible for the author of a post or a reply to delete that entry?
I think I better go to bed. Need some zzzzzzzzzss

Good suggestion! I will look into doing something like that soon. The one thing you should know, however, is that the Forums page doesn't take a while to load because of your 56k connection. I belive it takes the same amount of time no matter what your connection speed because all the time is actually spent querying the database to get the Views, Read/Unread counts for each forum. The displaying of the info is mostly text, which won't take much time at all.

I have changed the listing of the Personal Folder to include the full URL to each file. Check it out!

Based on the way other Forum Systems work, I do not allow members to delete their posts or replies. If you want something deleted, just shoot me an email.
Thanks for the suggestions!
Keep 'em coming!
