We need a couple new moderators.
A couple of the current moderators have not been able to visit the site as often as needed to be an effective moderator.
If you would like to become a C3VR Forum Moderator, please either reply to this thread or shoot me an email.
Thanks!

Minimally, I need moderators for:
* C3 Parts For Sale/Wanted
* C3 For Sale/Wanted
But I am probably going to start using more than one moderator per forum soon.
What I expect of my Moderators:
1) Make sure posts do not have offensive content. This could be pictures, words, threats or just being mean. Violations of this type should be immediately deleted and the author should be sent an email explaining that their post was delete and why, with a warning that repeat violations will result in termination of their account. Repeat violators should be reported to me.
2) Make sure posts are in the right place. For instance, if someone posts a For Sale ad in the General Discussion board, the author should be notified that there is a better place for their ad. There is a "Move" button at the top of the message that you can click to move the post to the proper forum and send an email to the author alerting them to the move and that they should be more accurate next time.
3) Be active. Participate in topics that you are able to give valuable input into. If you can't, don't post something like "Sorry, can't help ya." If you see that a post or thread is seeking an answer from me personally, see if you can answer it for me. If not, shoot me an email telling me that a response from me is needed.
4) Be helpful. If there is a post about a problem with the site, see what kind of help you can offer them. If the problem continues, or you are not sure how to handle it, shoot me an email about it.
5) Promote us. Anywhere and everywhere you can, promote C3VR. Be it on other sites, or your friends, or your local Vette clubs. Let them know about the what we have to offer and about the various events that we have going on at any given time, like the the Online C3 Show.

My thought would be to have another area where found or sold items could reside. Kind of like the "Completed Items" side of eBay auctions. There is, on occasion, some useful dialogue in those posts that could be good reference information in the future.

Adam,
I would be willing to be a moderator if you like. I am already a moderator for a few groups on Yahoo so I know how to do it already. I guess the one about parts would be of the most interest to me.
Thanks
Nikki

It appears that you may already have all of the volunteers that you need, but if not, I usually check in several times a day and wouldn't mind helping out if needed.
