I have found some forum software, called "YaBB" or "Yet another Bulletin Board" that I think is quite nice.

It will be a MAJOR effort to replace the current forum software, so I'm wondering if it's worth it.

Please click here to take a look at the new software then come back here and vote!

Feel free to play around as much as you like, post messages, reply, etc!! It's only a test setup, so you won't be messing anything up!

Pretty slick looking package. Some cute bells and whistles.

Do you want to rely more on software you don't have control of? The things you've done todate with the site are very impressive to me, but I'm sure there are lots of other things you'd like to do with your "free" time.

The current "look and feel" of the C3VR site adds to its uniqueness. Going with a canned package solution takes most of that away and the site becomes "just another one in the herd".

Lots of pos and cons on either side of the equation. Ultimately the decision will be yours Adam.

Adam, save your time and money, I like this format you have here. That other one kinda seems like a cross between two "other" forums I hardly go to anymore. That's not a good thing Adam babe..... |wavey|

Well, I guess the old, "if it ain't broke..." theory could work here.

Its got a few more bells and wistles. Adam your the owner and operator of this rig, if it would be less work for you, that would be a good thing, the more money would be not so good thing. Like you said, if it ain't broke don't fix it, your doing a great job, but if you can lighten the load alittle with the new software we would all understand.

In my opinion....leave it the way it is. This forum has a unique "look" to it. The other software looks like the CAC forum in a way. I never cared for the "cookie cutter" look. This forum looks like Adam's forum....the other format looks like Rob L.'s CAC forum. (no offence Rob). And that is just my .02 cents. Sarge |thumb|

Keep what ya got. For all us "old" guys, it is comfortable which translates into " I already know how to use it so don't make me work my brain yet again "
