If you became a C3VR member (trial or otherwise) since August 1st, 2007, please answer the following question.
If you have been a member since before that date, feel free to browse this thread, but please do not reply.
Thanks!
Question: Since joining, do you feel you have been accepted or excluded by existing members? Or, perhaps you don't feel either, just somewhere in the middle.
You may reply right here on this thread, or if you would rather not be public with your response, please email or PM me.

I've gotten some helpful responses. There seems to be a core group here that jump in on nearly everything and a whole lot of lurkers that are rather reserved about what and/or who they reply to tho. I'm sure it will take a while to warm up to me. I've been involved in another car discussion group since usenet days in the early 90s, now a forum - celicasupra.com The old guard there is a bit testy. I'm guilty of it myself at times. Seems every possible question has been asked and answered ad-infinitum and so newbies who don't realize they've asked a repeat question for the umpteenth time get hammered. I haven't seen that kind of attitude here. Based on past experience, I was afraid it was going to be tough to be a newbie again, but so far I feel welcome.
Adam,
I feel accepted by the members here. Many take the time to explain their answers in full so a newcomer like me can understand.
There definitely is a "core group" here, but they do not seem at all like thay feel "above" a new guy like me. Their answers are real helpful!
And, heck, I just get a kick out of the jibberjabber that goes back and forth. Sometimes I just read the threads and get a chuckle out of what's being said. Even when I have nothing to add.
C3VR seems to have a real welcoming, down to earth mentality going on here.
I look forward to the spring time when we'll all have our Vettes back out of the garage and meeting a few more members at gatherings.
Good Stuff !!!
I not only feel accepted by the local NW C3VR members but everyone else here as well. There just seems to be a great bunch of people here that are always there for you, it is a C3 family!

While I'm just "getting in to" using this board more often now that I'm a Gold Member, I have no doubt whatsoever that I'll be accepted by my fellow C3 breatheren, and that I'll always get the answers or opinions I'm looking for.
Adam,
Having just joined last week and posting plus responding to a few topics; have felt very welcomed and accepted here - much more so than at Digital Corvettes.Com

Hi Adam:
I feel quite at home here and have had numerous questions answered and have even been congratulared on finding my build sheet by 3-4 people. I really feel like this is a great place to share and learn. I am new to Corvettes (not new to collector cars) but try to find a forum on a 1963 Pontiac Parisienne; it doesn't exist.
About the only thing I have not figured out is how to post a picture at the end of my signature!
