I've set the wheels in motion to upgrade C3VR.com!
1st, we'll be moving to a new server.
The sever we are currently on is about 7 years old. In Dog years, that's like 49 years old! So it's time to upgrade to take advantage of the newer technology - faster operating system, faster processor, more powerful database.
This will be done within the next week and will require the site be down for some time. Not sure how long, but when I have a better idea, I will let everyone know.
2nd, I'll be recreating C3VR from the ground up.
I'm going to start with new 3rd party forum software that takes advantage of all the latest programming technology, including a mobile friendly version for all mobile devices. I'm working closely with a 3rd party vendor right now to get that started.
This will take some time to build. Maybe a few months. Once complete, it will require some down time to transfer over to the new site, but should not require much down time.
I've decided to do this in light of the issues some users have been experiencing lately, in order to hopefully make their experience with the site flawless.
Also, everyone will benefit from the faster speed and more power of a new server. (You'll see this benefit soon).
So, stay tuned for updates and thanks for your patience and support during the upgrades!

I'm always resistant to change, but to get better you must change! Tally ho, let's go!

Well, sorta. The site it self will serve pages faster, but that doesn't mean people will slow connections may not benefit as much as those with faster connections. And image downloads will still be the same. However, the new forum software does have automatic resizing of images as they are inserted into posts.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
That re-sizing will help. But will it let you drag an drop pictures into a post? That would be handy if it did.
