I've noticed a few old bug-a-boos...
The one, continuous page on a thread is painful, since there is no "New Posts" link, no "Back to Top" arrow/option...you have to scroll ALLLLLL the way back up.

Also, for me, when I go to post something in the Post Reply box, my cursor disappears...and after typing a sentence or 5, I'll look back at the screen, and I'll have ONE or TWO LETTERS, and no blinking cursor. So I have to start all over. This always happens when I first begin the post. For instance, I hit "Reply", and the post box comes up. I put my cursor in the box and click it, so it is in the correct location, since it always seems to start about 3 lines down, and 4 lines in from the margin. So there I am, blinking cursor in the right spot, and I start my typing....only to discover after typing a response that there are only the first 1-2 letters showing, out of all that I have entered. I'm not a good enough typer to be able to type while watching the screen, so I don't see it until I've finished my response. There was a time when this was common for me, on my old computers...it just took a while for the text to appear after entering it, but this is not the case here...the text never appears at all.

I wonder if it is the same issue with the HTML converting to WYSIWYG... that it is taking 20 seconds to set up the WYSIWYG editor, so you start typing in the non-WYSIWYG box, then it converts and it loses it for you.  Does this happen at home and work?

Joel,
Do you have your browser set to clear the cache at any particular interval?
The reason I'm asking is that you should not do this.  It would certainly cause the editor form to load slowly each time because there are so many components to it.
Have you also tried different browsers? I know you usually use FF.

Disapprove

So, you just want to be able to see a list of posts that are more than 24 hours new? Like 2 days new, or 3 days new?

So if I made the 24 hours page have an option to list 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, etc, would that meet your needs?

Faster loads.

I do not see a reply to thread button at the top or bottom of the screen. using IE7 on this machine. I will chk Firefix when I get home.

the continuous scroll with no navigation to jump to top/bottom is tedious - imagine a 200-300 reply thread and navigating through that.

Adam - THANK YOU for everything you are doing on site management.

Adam, on the shop puter(Windows XP/FF), I do NOT seem to have that issue, because the cursor does not appear immediately when the reply box opens. It takes about 10 seconds or less for the cursor to appear, then I can enter my message. At home(Windows 7/FF) is where I have the disappearing cursor issue...the cursor appears as soon as the post box opens up, so I start typing....weird. I guess I could just wait a few seconds before starting my text, and all should be otay.
I do NOT clear my cache ever...unless I absolutely have to. It takes too long to re-gain all the needed data(cookies, or whatever) on dial-up. I did clear it the other day, because you axed me to, but other than that, it have never been cleared, and is not set to do so automatically at either home or here at werk.

I miss the P/M option, too...Unhappy
I still cannot add the forum Tags, no matter how I do them. If you notice, even the "Updated" text when editing even shows the UPDATED tags, where it prolly shouldn't, or normally wouldn't.

It's a slow road, but you'll git us there....we have faith in ya! Thumbs Up

(Edit to show the Update text....)

You do not need to use forum tags anymore.  All the formatting is done using the Rich Text Editor (WYSIWG).  The UPDATED tag is supposed to look the way it does.  It's not just you.
