I finally figured out how to attach pics to my posts but i see they turned out to large. How do i correct this? Ive posted the same pics on other sites and they are normal size. I dont want to inconvienence anyone having to look at full size pics.

8. Look at the value in the "Width" box. You want it to be between 400 and 500. (And the "Size on Disk" less than 500,000 bytes).
* If the width is still higher than 500, click "Cancel" then go back to step 5 and try again. (You may need to use a number lesser or greater than 50 to get it right. You should get the hang of it pretty quick).
* If the width is between 400 and 500, then click Cancel and go on to step 9.
* If the width is less than 400, you may want to click Cancel, then on the "Edit" menu, select "Undo". Then go back to step 5 and use a number higher than 50.
9. On the "File" menu, select "Save As..." DO NOT SELECT "SAVE" or you will overwrite your original file!!!
10. In the "Save As" box, enter a new file name, make sure the location is correct, make sure the Save As Type is .JPG, then click Save.
If you have "Microsoft Photo Editor", try this:
* You should find it on the Start menu, under Program/Microsoft Office/Microsoft Office Tools.
1. Start Microsoft Photo Editor.
2. On the "File" menu, select "Open"
3. Located the file you want to open, then double-click it (or click it once, then click "Open")
4. On the "Image" menu, select "Resize..."
5. On the Resize box, make sure "Units" is set to "Pixels"
6. Enter 400 in the Width box.
7. Click "OK"
8. On the "File" menu, select "Save As..." (DO NOT SELECT "SAVE" or you will overwrite your original file!!)
9. Enter a name for the file, select a location, , make sure the Save As Type is .JPG, then click "Save".

Most forum sites, and others, have auto resizing for large pics. The main issue with LARGE images is they skew the forum pages, so you have to scroll back/forth to see the entire post/pics, and you can't actually see the entire pic that way. If you happen to have a smaller monitor, it's really frustrating. I don't know how youse guys that use your smartypants fones to view the forums deal with large images like this!
Another issue is folks without a high-speed innernet connection, which has become less of a problem these days, but there are still folks that do not have access to high-speed. If you upload large images to your personal file folder/home page, then post a link to them, that works out well, but even then, if the image is too large, it will not upload....plus, it takes up a lot of space, so you have less storage room for more pics.
I can(and usually do) resize large images in the forum here, but just haven't had the time lately to do much more than stop by for a visit.

Hey Joel, what about us idiots that thought chrome may be a better answer(it was much less then other laptops) and even tho we hate it we are stuck with it! LOL, I can always try using my old computer because it has windows. Remember the good ole days when things weren't so complicated. I think I was happier back then! I will try later tonight to see if I can resize them. Its to frustrating viewing pics that large!
