Hi fellow vette lovers,

First, let me say I'm new to the site and have loved vettes since I was 14 yrs. old (a while back). I'm a member of a club in NYC and although I like the club, there are very, very few Afro-Americans or other minorities involved. I know our vettes have no color or race, but I wonder if there are any people of color in the NYC area who would like to be a part of a club or just to chat/share about the car. The one thing I do enjoy about my '81 is it links vette lovers together no matter what color, but it would be nice to share with all groups. I also joined a womans club which is a nice change. So again, its not about race just sharing. Thanks, for listening.

 

Welcome to the Forum June. Although I do not know of any clubs in your area , I'm sure someone will be able to pass something on to you.

Glad to have you aboard...  But I do not know of a local Club
in your area that has any afro-americans...which I think is kind of strange...   

Somebody should be able to direct you in the right direction...
Modst of the local clubs in this area have afro american members
just can not understand why there is a lack of local clubs in your area

At the top of the screen, click on Community and then Corvette Club Listing.
Most of the clubs have web sites and a contact person.
Let them know what you are looking for.
Also, go to Corvette events, cruise-ins, etc. and you will meet some of the nicest people. Especially the C3 owners.

I respect your request, but I'm afraid I can't help. I really dont know why there are so few in your area.  Seems odd.  We also don't have enough women.  I guess I understand that one a bit more.

Just remember,  here the only color that matters here is the one on your Vette!  Welcome aboard. The Shark Pond needs everyone!

Perhaps you can stir up the ladies section.
