Ok, I finally found the answer. Evidently it's a Spyware/Adware issue as programs such as Norton Internet Security and Spy Sweeper, both of which I run, block url's with tags such as "qksrv, comission junction,& mediaplex" from viewing and you get the unavailable message instead. I had to edit a file called hosts in the "windows\system32\drivers\etc" folder and wipe out references to above. The auctions then appeared normally. I don't know when or how this file is created but once there disabeling or turning off security, pop-up & Ad blocking have no effect. I noticed upon exiting a msg from spy sweeper that tracking cookies had been removed from mediaplex and qksrv. Thanks to all that tried to help.

Glad you found the answer!
Now "The Support Gang" will know something else to suggest to anyone else that has this issue.
