How to correct formatting?

I've noticed that when I compose a post, the formatting looks fine--no
strange breaks in between words. But after I 'upload' that post, what
actually shows up on the forum always does have these weird breaks,
which seem to occur without an obvious cause or reason.

What am I doing wrong, and how do I correct it?

Thanks--

Huh?
All of your posts seem to look otay to me!! Might be a difference in your ISP, or some programming mis-match? It may only look weird on your 'puter. It looks normal to me.(But, what do I know about "normal"?)

If they look OK to you guys, then that's all I needed to know. I just didn't
want to drive anyone to distraction (that's a scenic offshoot on your way
to Pigeon Forge, in case you were wondering).

Guess it's probably this computer, or maybe the ISP...

At any rate, thanks for the feedback, fellas--

As the others have said your posts look ok, at least in this thread anyway.  But just out of curiousity which internet browser are you using?  Also which ISP?

Jim,

I use Apple Safari (Panther version of OS X); and our ISP is AT&T Yahoo
DSL.

And nope, sorry to say Spielman5, I won't be able to get to Tennessee
next month, much as I'd like to meet the group. This shark isn't even
ready to leave the driveway, much less make the interstates all the way
across the country (if you're going from Alaska, my hat is off to you!)

Ted,
It looks to me like you might be using the enter button at the end of the lines. Just keep typing until you want a new paragraph. The text will automatically wrap to the next line.
If you
hit the enter
at the end of the
page it will look
like this.

Don't do that. If you are not doing that, then I am puzzled.

Not sure what you are seeing on your end, but on my end your posts look fine.  The lines look a little shorter than most, but certainly not anything that I find strange or annoying.  Don't think you need to worry about it.
