There are a few places you can post pictures. Below are the areas along with instructions on how to do it.
- In your forum signature
- Go to your profile
- On the 2nd line where it says "Enter CURRENT password" make sure to enter your password.
- Look for the "Signature" section and click the link to Add a Photo to Your Signature
- Follow the instructions on the pop-up window to upload your photo.
- Follow the instructions on the pop-up window to add your uploaded photo to your signature.
- Make sure to click the Update Profile button at the bottom of the profile editor.
- In you C3VR main profile
- On the "My Account" menu, go to "My Profile"
- On the 2nd line where it says "Enter CURRENT password" make sure to enter your password.
- A little further down on the "Contact Info" section will be a line that says "Vette Picture URL." On that line, click the "Click to Upload an Image" link
- A new window will pop up that gives you instructions on how to select and upload an image. Read and follow those instructions.
- Once the file has uploaded, you will see your photo along with instructions on where your file is located and how to automatically put the link into the box on your profile page. Read and follow those instructions to"click here to automatically put the link into the box on the page you are on and close this window"
- It will automatically resize to a maximum of 700 pixels wide.
- Once that window closes, you should then see the URL to the image in the Vette Picture URL box.
- Scroll down to the bottom of your profile page and click the "Update Profile" button!
- In your C3 Registration
- On the "My Account" menu, go to "My C3 Registration"
- If you haven't already done so, enter your C3 Registration info. If you have already done so, select your VIN from line 1).
- On lines 19, 20 & 21 you can upload pictures of your vette. The instructions for doing so are the same as you would follow in your main C3VR profile (as I listed above).
- It will automatically resize to a maximum of 700 pixels wide.
- Just make sure to enter your password on line 2 and click the "Submit Vette" button at the bottom when you are done.
- In a forum post
- If you want to put pictures in a NEW forum post, go to the forum category where you'd like to post your pictures and click the "New Topic" button at the top of the forum topics list.
- Enter your subject, post and anything else you want to type.
- Click your mouse in the message box at the point you want to insert your picture.
- Just above the message box, look for a button icon that looks like a tree and Click it.
- A new window will open. There you can select from a list of files you've already uploaded (if any) on the left side - to preview one, click it and it will appear in the preview window on the right. OR you can upload a new file, click the "Choose File" button on the left to select a file from your computer, then click the Upload button. Again, there is a maximum file size of 10MB and it will automatically resize to a maximum of 700 pixels wide.
- After you've selected or uploaded the picture you want to post, click the "OK" button.
- In your Personal File Folder
- On the "My Account" menu, go to "My Personal File Folder"
- Follow the instructions there to upload your file(s). Note the file type and size limitations for your account.
- Files will NOT be resized here, so you should try not to upload large files here if you can avoid it.
- Once the file is uploaded, it will show you the URL to the file. You can click the URL to view it, or you can copy the URL and paste it anywhere within C3VR or another website. For instance you can use it in your C3VR Forum Profile Signature. In your signature you would put something like this: [ IMG ]/member_uploads/
3001_3100/3028/vette_ sig200881911055r.jpg[ /IMG ] --- remove the spaces before and after the IMG tags or it won't work.

This looks way too complicated.
I'll get my six-year-old grandson to post the pictures.

He won't have to read the instructions. He'll just click away until the picture is there.
