Well, my "Home" connection is a sexy screaming 55MB/Sec. Its shared bandwidth, but I've never noticed!

I got a deal for 6 months on a cable modem service similar to T1 speed (1.54Mb). Now I'm hooked and I don't think I could ever go back.

Get off that dial-up. A hollowed out tree trunk and a couple baseball bats work faster for sending messages !

Hey Glenn! I may have to practice my 'hooting' as the owls in the woods around us seem to keep up a pretty constant conversation!

One would think that being less than 30 miles from the center of a major metro area that all the current 'land based' technology would be available, but that's not the case. It is slowly creeping nearer from all sides, just hasn't reached 'The Ranch' yet.
The R.E.C. we get our electricity from has been offering satelite packages for TV/Internet access, but the monthly fee is stupid for the first year and then just plain dumb after that. Maybe if I had as many pennies as you do I'd be able to make the upgrade...!!!

The results of this survey will be interesting to see.
