I started this, so ya'll can wring my neck about the "100th" Lifer.
I just thought it would be good to have, at the least, a listing of ALL of the Lifetime Members, and present the list at the time of the 100th Lifer joining. I suggested it, and I'm taking care of putting the list together for Adam, as there are far more important thing for him to be concerned with. It's just a list...there were mentions/ideas of other things to go along with it, such as hats, shirts, decals, lapel pins, etc. These things were mentioned by the members. I think a little recognition for the 100th member would be great. It doesn't, in my opinion, devalue any of the earlier Lifetime members at all. The first Lifer is just as welcome, and needed as the 100th, or the 43rd, or any of the members here.
So, maybe some of this got a bit out of hand, maybe not, but the Lifetime Members of C3VR are still the best of the best.

We all have opinions, and it's good that we can let them be heard. Like some others have said, this is one of the few, if not the ONLY site that this could happen on, without a person's opinion being censored, or deleted. I get tweeked sometimes about some things that are said here, too, and I know there are some that get tweeked from some of my posts. I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words that don't sound condecending or rude at times, too. At the end of the day, we are all still family, dysfunctional as it may be, but still, one big, happy, family. You can't have this many people together in one place without a little snit every now and them. It's good for the health of the site.
As Al states above, I may not agree with what is said, but you absolutely have the right to state your opinions, pro or con, on any subject, as long as it doesn't turn into a personal attack. A few people voiced their opinions/concerns, and that's that.
I think Adam has the right to do as he feels is right on this subject. I'm ok with whatever the decision will be. It won't effect my day to day life one bit. I'm here for the duration.

Wow, I miss 6 weeks and look what happens.

But I have seen some disagreements among families.   Of course the head of the household always has the last word.  This is my extended family, and Adam is the head of house hold.

I have had arguements with by brothers and sisters in the past, and we all still get along and love each other.   I think and hope the same will apply here at my other family.

Adam lead on.  We will follow.  A few won't be happy but that's family.  They come around.

And I don't care who gets what.  With what I and some others have been through in the last couple of years,  these arguements are really trival crap.  It just doesn't matter.  I'm just so happy to be as good as I am, and to be here as much as I can be makes me happy as well.  So do what you wish Dad.

No, Ken, I don't think you missed anything. It''s always been here waiting to rear it's head. It's good for the group. If controversy creates discussion and discussion creates action and action creates results - then it's a good thing. I'm pleased to see that Adam did not change his mind and stayed with his desired plan, that Joel decided to do this in the first place and do all the leg work and that all the members made their support known to all the rest of us. The day of "I'm not always right - but I'm never wrong" is gone. A strong leader is what we need and what we have. I hope that that will never change. As I've said before I don't have to agree with it, but I will support it and give you my opinion on the way.

I hope to become a lifer when my gold membershipruns out.  I don't care what # I am I just really enjoy the group.  That's what it's all about.
The fact that I met alot of you last summer at PF makes it that much nicer.  My only regret was in not spending more time meeting everyone there.
