Vette(s): 1980 L-48 still in the middle of a frame-off.
Whether it's a first birthday, 25Th anniversary,50 Th anniversary or the100Th anniversary people celebrate milestones. This does not make any of the previous dates worth any less or any more. It's just a celebration of an achievement and the knowledge that more are to come.  So enjoy the fact that a 100Th milestone is almost here and #200 will be coming fast.

I say party on otherwise you are eliminating reasons to enjoy the moment. Don't worry there will be many more moments for celebration.

Adam;
I liked how you handled it when i disagreed with you on the meeting dates.  You listened to me, heard what i typed, and explained your decision, and then did what you felt was right.  Thats good management.  Keep up the good work, your doing a fine job of running this board, and if a few people dont like the choices, oh well....

One thing that does interest me.  I just noticed that your not a life, your in a different category (duh).  Is the first lifer still on board?  If so, that person should also be recognized somehow at the meeting when the #100 is.  I will personally pay for their tee shirt and dinner, along with a dash plaque for them..

As members we should strive to promote growth. We are not part of any board. We have the ability to speak our piece. Adam has 51% of the voting power we have 49%.
We should be supporting the decisions made. If there is a disagreement and you feel the need to display it in a negative manner then take it to the PM and voice your opinion directly. If it isn't positive then it shouldn't be displayed.
This is not a very good image to display for any tenative or current members.
Original intent for the 100th position started out friendly enough and evolved into a selling point. Which is what Corvette has done for many years 25th, 40th, 50th & hopefully more to come. It wasn't done to overshadow any of the previous years. Nor was the thought process of the 100th member.
If this offends anyone I appologize straight up. It certainly isn't meant to.

Adam as 1 member in this crowd of many I support your decisions!

Adam - I like the window sticker idea - I'd contribute some$ to help get that idea off the ground.   Clap
I could do all of that expect tell you exactly when they upgraded to lifers. Unless they are able to recall themselves.
Yeah Baby - thanks to all of you who have been vocal in support of Adam and the great things about this site.ClapThumbs%20Up  I hadn't planned on going to the gathering this year but now I will just to meet this guy who has done so much to make owning a "classic" vette a classy experience.  Adam you rock!Exclamation
AMEN KEN!

I will be a lifer in Jan when mine expires, whether or not I am 99, 100, or 101.  It would be kinda cool to be 100 but it would be cooler to be #13, my personal lucky number!

I joined this site because of what I thought was camraderie and what appeared to be a jovial acquaintanceship among the members however, I believe you and Adam are right about something changing in the last couple of months.  I don't know if it's in the water, the Dem's taking over or some aren't getting a regular walk in the garden of earthly delights, but something has the collective's nose out of joint.

It is, afterall St. Nicholas' Day today and you would think we would be seeing some Christmas Cheer rather than Grinches and Scrooges.

I tell ya, if it weren't for guys like Adam (for doing the site), Joel, Jim, Ray and a handful of others knowledge and insight, I would be much the poorer this Christmas.

Now before ya get all pissed off at me, I do realize that we all (especially me) have our shortcomings, whether it be in wrenching, diagnosing or just plain livin' day to day.  That said, maybe we should all take a step back and repeat Rodney King's Mantra:

DEEP BREATH NOW, RELAX,  BREATHE OUT,

Can't we all just get along?

Maybe instead of trying to grind the head off our axes here, we should go over to some of the other sites I belong to (like the Moss Motors MG site) where the rules are so stuffy, you almost can't get your question out and NONE of the fun we have here would be had there, not the least of which would be a site called "Anything Goes".

Yell at me if ya like, I was raised by a former MARINE, so you guys can't hold a candle to where I've been, but I think we all owe Adam a HUGE ROUND OF APPLAUSE for babysitting us all this timeClapClapClapClapClap

As a member of a volunteer organization I say to you Adam that Ken is absolutely correct when he says - If it's good it weren't your doin', if it's bad, it's all your fault!!!

I appreciate the He!! out of what you have created and all those who have taken their time and effort to help me and others like me come to love our babies!

My apologies for the rant, but we're better than this.

Dennis

Adam - Don't take my opiniom out of context. It's just that my opinion. I give you a lot of credit for doing what you do and I support you all the way. I will continue to support you all the way but I don't always have to agree with you or anybody else for that matter. It seems that some of us has created a controversy and by so doing, has a lot of people making comments. If it takes a controversy to get everyone involved - then I'm all for it. I'm happy that you made the decision to do something special and I hope that you don't change your mind about doing it. You made the choice - now stick to it. I'll support you. If you get flak - I'll be your flak jacket. As far as everyone else is concerned - if I offended anyone I APOLOGIZE for that. For supporting other members in their opinion and giving mine - I will NEVER apologize. I will continue to support this group and it's members for as long as I'm breathing. This is the best Corvette group in the world and it's only going to get better as time goes on. Adam keep up the good work and don't let a few of us change your course of action because we don't agree with it. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Carson City - I'll be the one with the BIG bullseye on his back. Thanks for listening to me again.
