Adam,
Jim O. posted the below quote maybe 4 months ago(I'm reading all posts ever in a quest to read everything this site has to offer =) fun stuff!) What is the "red arrow" Jim mentions below? It sounds like something I keep meaning to ask for, and just never get around to(some sort of demarcation for the new replies in a post vs. the ones we've already read. Sounds like the "red arrow" is something like what i was meaning to ask about. Implying that it used to be here and then disappeared...any validation to this or am I crazy? could the line or whatever mentioned above be added?
Scot
lemme know if that made sense!

The new calendar is super! As is the updated Member Map. Personal favorite though has got to be the addition of the "red arrow" that takes one to the last reply on a posting. As one who views the outside world via a tiny MaBell copper wire and a 56k modem I appreciate the convenience.
Adam, you're too good to us mere mortals...!!!

Scot,
The "red arrow" that Jim is referring to is the red arrow you may see to the right of a member's name in the "Last Activity" column of a Forum's Message List page.
Clicking this red arrow will take you directly to the post in that thread that was written or updated.

NO kidding.....I never saw that until I looked....very cool feature, something I wish I had =) Ok, just goes to show that Adam thought of everything. Three cheers =)

Wow, that is a great new feature, or is it old? The only problem I have is remembering that it is there.

|QUOTE|82dukman said: It is a great feature too. When checking the threads you posted or participated in, you can see what is going on instead of scrolling all the way through. Takes you to the last reply|/QUOTE|
I just rememebered that the feature was there! and then I thought about it, and it still doesn't do what I was asking about!! lollol...it takes you to the last ever reply, but what I was hoping for is a button that takes you to the first "new" post that the user hasn't seen yet. Does that make sense? Instead of looking for reply #14 out of 25 total because you checked it 11 replies ago....a button that takes you right there....starting at the last post is no better than starting at the first in a few situations. Basically...I'm lazy.

Scot,
I know what you are talking about, but that is a lot harder to keep track of than the very last reply.
What I do is, before I hit the Red Arrow, I look at the number of Uread Replies for that message and then I just scroll up that many replies. That way I know where I left off.

Alrighty, I'll give that a whirl, and don't take my incessant comments as complaining, best site for Vette's on the Net! Great place, and keep up the excellent work!
