I've got a 71 LT-1 with no history. Would like to search various state's Motor Vehicle sites and research previous owners of my car. Anyone have any ideas on how I can go about this? Is there a list of state web sites I could search? Thanks in advance,

Terry, from what I read it is vey difficult to find title info pre 1981. I saw this site referenced several times regarding this problem:

I'd first look for the gas tank sticker- If it's long gone you might try looking for a build sheet between the gauges (speedo & tach). If you can find the document- you can locate the original dealer (using zone code & dealer # on the form)who sold the car.
