I was just checking my folders and was wondering when to clean them out? I beleive most of them where info for a post. should i leave them till i need room?

If the photos/files are old, you can prolly safely delete them. You only have 10mb(I think) of storage space. I have to clean mine out every couple of months on stuff that isn't needed, but I do keep certain things that come up all the time. I start cleanin mine when it gets to around 6mb....

If any of the images are referenced in a post you should not delete them. Deleting a referenced image will display the dreaded little red X when the thread is accessed. Unfortunately there isn't an easy way to check to see if an image is referenced anywhere in a thread (that I know of anyway). So if you're absolutely sure you haven't referenced an image anywhere you're safe to remove it.
Sounds good the ones for posts I will leave, if I can determan some are not for a post I will delete. I think either way I am ok i am only around 1 -2 mb
