I'd like to remind people to clean out their Private Message Inbox/Outbox on a regular basis.  Your Inbox has a limit and when its breached no one can send you annoying messages  Thanks.

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.

And exactly how is this accomplished...for the 'puter-impaired out there!

A slightly more robust answer perhaps - click on the 'Private Messenger' button ( ) near the top of any forums page and then click on the 'Inbox' icon ( ).

Review the messages listed there and when a message is open either click on the 'Delete' button (  ) found on the right hand side of the top line of the message or near the center of the bottom line of the message
- or -
from the message list click the box to the right of a message, or messages, that you want to delete and click on the 'Delete Selected' button which is found just below the message list on the right side.

If you simply want to flush all the messages in your inbox click on the 'Delete All' button which is found just to the left of the 'Delete Selected' button.

There is a limit on the number of messages that can be held in your inbox so it is a good idea to review them from time to time.  If there are several that you want to keep indefinitely you can click on the 'Email this Private Message to myself' link found below the text of an opened message, verify that it did make it to your e-mail box, and then delete the message from your PM inbox.

Hope this helped some.

Hey Gang!  Wanted to bring this to the top of the pile again.  There are over 50 messages that I've sent to folks over time that are laying in my Outbox.  Everyone, please take a few minutes to review you PM Inbox and clean house a little bit.  And while you're at it check your IM stack also...!!!

Cleaned my INBOX!! But, like you said Jim, my OUTBOX is loaded. Is there no way we could unload that "outbox" ourself?

Sure, Mick.....just send everyone in your "outbox' a message asking them to delete everything you sent them!!
I have gotten to where I "copy & paste" some of my P/Ms, so I can keep the info in them, but not on the C3VR server. I just e-mail the stuff to meself! That way I can delete the P/M box.

Nope - you don't know whether or not the message has been read yet.  Keep in mind that your OutBox is the other person's InBox and your InBox is someone else's OutBox.  Confusing ain't it...!!!
