This is a friendly request that when repling to threads please keep with the original topic and don't change the theme mid thread.
There is a lot of good information that many people will benefit from that will get lost or overlooked.
The case in point is a recent thread about removing a differential. Mid thread is a question about axle ratios. (See "Note" below.)
The people wanting to read about removing a differential will have to read thru the responses to the ratio question.
But... anyone that is looking for information on axle ratios will completely miss all the valuable information that was provided in that thread.
There is a vast amount of very useful information on this site and I'd hate for some of it to get lost or overlooked simple because it was somewhat off the thread's original topic.
Note: I am not trying to single out this topic or thread, but merely using it as an example. I found the axle ratio information useful, but if I didn't just happen to be reading the differential removal thread I would have missed it altogether. And I see this happen often. Nothing personal, just trying to help make C3VR a better place.

So... anyone like movies!?!
Just kidding!
This is a useful reminder, Roger! I see you are acting like a true moderator. Thanks for the thought, and keep up the good work.
By the way, this type of thing is one of the reasons for moving to the new forum software. A moderator can move a reply to a different thread, or can start a new thread with it. So if it is a off-topic reply, it can be moved out of that thread into a new one.
