well in reality my point was kind of invalid.. (I maintain a few db's where we embed images and was thinking like a crack-head.)

since your not embedding the pictures in the db only the URL the sig sizes are very small....

but using current sig does allow one the flexibility of getting rid of old pics to save space.. or perhaps just reorganize.
