It has been a tradition passed down through the years that when you meet another Vette on the road you wave to the other driver. |wavey|

There is a thread in the All Vettes Discussion forum, Petition: Save the Wave, that has a link to an online petition which is trying to get Chevrolet to acknowledge the wave and get it included in new Vette owner literature (should you choose to sign be careful picking options or you'll get spammed pretty quickly).

The NCM did a cute story on The Wave in the last issue of America's Sports Car. I'll try to scan it and post it.

Thanks for the info--I thought that was what it was all about but wanted to be sure. It just comes natural to acknowledge another vette and I've had a few opportunities to "do the wave" since getting my first vette back in Jan. 2003--been doing it to fellow bikers for years.
Thanks |wavey|

I get so upset when I actually take my Vette out and don't see one other Vette on the road!! Of course, when I'm in my truck, I see tons of Vettes... DOH! |hammer|

What other car owners wave at each other? Anyone know? Do Porshe owners do it?

Good question Adam. Does it count as a wave if it is a solitary finger? |headscratch|

Glenn, I think the single finger counts as a wave also. |haha| Just a little added info. Bikers and even wanna bes wave at each other. Us Harley riders have a little different wave, but that wouldnt interest you.. |saluteflag|

And here I thought all those single finger wavers were just being mean |laugh|

Glenn, I hope to make it to Hershey, but I wont commit as of yet. I need a new front bumper and front brakes on the Vette and doubt whether it will be ready for a trip. I may try to make it on the Harley if nothing else comes up. Maybe Adam will let me ride with the C3VR crew in the parade if I make it. |wavey| Besides, I could use your 2 cents. |bouncy|
