Adam - since I'm sure you need something to do (kidding), I had an idea for something that would be neat to have in the forum. I often find myself saving shortcuts to specific threads. Sometimes I even copy the content and paste into a word document to save on my server. It would be really cool if each member had a "favorites" page. It could be accessed from the My Account area. Every thread would have a button that would say "add to favorites" (or something similar). There would then be a link to that thread on your favorites page. Yes, I know I can do a search, but I'm lazy! Anyways, not sure if it's even possible in this forum software without a silly amount of coding. Just thought I'd suggest it and I'll let others point and giggle at me... LOL

I kinda like that idea too John. Currently I have created my own favorites by archiving topics of interest in my e-mail account within a C3VR Folder. It works pretty well as a quick reference versus utilizing the search tool. (but I still use it infrequently.)

Maybe that way I could relieve some Puter Clutter. (Theory Being: A clean Puter is a fast Puter.)

This is a good idea.
There is sort-of already something like this. If you "subscribe" or sign up for "email notifications" for threads, you can see a list of these by going to "My Forum Notifications" under the "My Account" menu.
So if you subscribe to your favorites, you'll see them in that list.

Having a separate list for favorites would be cool, but would require quite a lot of work that I do not currently have the time to implement.  It can certainly go on the wish list.

By the way, to subscribe to a thread....
While viewing a thread, click the "Toggle Email Notification for this Topic" link at the bottom of the thread.
While replying to a thread, check the "Email Notify me of Replies" box just above the "Post" button.

I knew about the e-mail notifications option. I use that frequently. I didn't know that you could see a list of all the threads you have that notification on. That works almost as well as my suggestion. Thanks for the tip Adam!Clap I have a feeling I'll be using tghat feature a bunch Wink
