Hey gang.
I am considering upgrading the site's forum software (again) to something called vBulletin (used on Corvette Forum & Corvette Action Center). Their latest version, 3.7 has many of the features built-in that I was looking to add to C3VR.com - detailed member pages, photo albums, etc.
The issue is that it is written in a programming language that is different than is currently in use on the site. So, the forums may have to be a completely separate area of C3VR.com. It may not have the same look and feel.
I think the benefits of the new forum will outweigh this issue. Do you guys think you'd be bothered by a different look and feel in the forum area?
I'm also hoping that I'll be able to keep you from having to log in to both the site and the forum separately. I'll have to research that some more. Also, I won't do this if I can't bring over the existing library of threads.

Hey Adam,
I agree that if the benefits of the new forum are what you say they are, I definately would not be bothered by a different look and feel in the forum area.
You do a great job and I certainly respect your any decision you think would be best for us. You da' man!
Thanks,
JSGarner
I like either version - will still logon no matter what.

I really love the easy navigation of this site because I'm so used to it. I am in favor of anything that will benefit us, the site and you Boss. So whatever changes you decide I'm sure it will be for the good. And like John said, don't matter what the site looks like, I'll still keep comin back.
I agree with everyone above, do whatever you think is best for the site, after all, you are the boss and we trust you implicitly. You couldn't drive most of us off, no matter what.

You know we all love it here, but we don't want to starve to death either. We'll all be spending that much on gas each month before long.
