Had it aligned last week, new ideler arm and rear strut bushings. It pulled to the right when i brought it in and still pulls though not as bad. Had the local chevy dealer do it. They said all was in spec after they did the alignment and really never offered any explanation as to why it was still pulling right. Any useful suggestions at this point would be most helpful. I didn't get the feeling that the tech really knew what he was lookin for.

Possibly low tire pressure in RF or pressure difference between LF and RF tire. Or dragging brake caliper on RF. All this assumes the alignment was done properly and the guy knew what he was doing.

Tire pressures are good. Brakes seem ok as well, but if you hit them really hard it jumps to the next lane.

Are you saying it then pulls to the LEFT when hitting the brakes? Then definitely right brake hose is clogged. Pulls right because the caliper is dragging but then pulls left when applying the brakes because the right caliper is NOT engaging any further while the left fully engages. Feel the right front wheel for excessive heat after your next ride.

Pulls to the right when applying the brakes, and pulls to the right without the brakes applied. If you let go of the wheel while driving it creeps over to the right.

Sounds like the right caliper could be dragging and the left isn't engaging at all.

Have the brakes been bled?  Air in the left would cause it not to move.

You might be looking to put in two new calipers.

I had problem with pulling to the right,  had the power steering valve adjusted by at Corvette Barn here in Syracuse, corvette only shop.  Your description indicated a brake problem, air or bad hose, but don't rule out the steering valve adjustment.

Ya know, I hadn't considered that, but that could do it also and that's not a difficult fix....but the hard braking symptoms kinda make me tend to think brakes.

Replaced the master cylinder last Friday then bled the brakes. Bench bled the master before instilation. I like the idea of adjusting the power steering valve, what is the procedure for doing this? I really don't think it's a brake problem.

Old alignment trick #227. Check air pressure in front tires then switch side to side. If the pull goes away it's an alignment issue. The factory specs have a wide range. In my younger days I did front end work and alignments. I always went to 0 degrees Camber on the positive side, made sure Caster is the same on both sides cause that will cause a pull to. Toe in Toe out 0. Keep us posted

Checking to see if the PS valve is the culprit is easy enough. Jack the front end up and put it on stands. Center the steering wheel, then start the car. If the wheel moves in either direction, the valve needs adjusting. If the wheel stays straight, then that is not the pull problem.
Don't leave out a possible rear brake problem, either. Rear brake drag, or a stopped up hose will also cause a front end "pull".
Frame damage can also cause it, even with the front end alignment set properly.

The P/S valve adjustment procedure has been posted here before...I'll see if I can find it...
