Nice car, nice find, but...$95,000(at this time)????
Naw.....bunch of mulroonies bidding on it. I just don't see how it could possibly be worth anywhere near that. $35-$40,000 would be TOPS, imho.

Joel, It was at $100,300 this morning. The seller says he cancelled about 5 bids due to bidders not contacting him before bidding. Apparently the back story on this car is elevating the bids. The explanation I got was that this particular Silver Anniversary 78 is an absolutely correct, one-owner "survivor", exactly as it left the production line....every nut, bolt, hose, sticker, etc. Even if that is the case, I could never imagine a 78 SA bringing more than 40K. Certainly an interesting time to be trying to buy another Corvette. Prices right now are insane. Also interesting, less than 7% of pre-1984 Vettes listed on Ebay this year have actually sold. The owners must all think they have Barrett-Jackson cars. Hope all is well with you.

I read the whole story as posted in the listing. Interesting for sure, but still....
It has value as a historically accurate vehicle, as it is basically totally untouched from as delivered condition....it would be invaluable to NCRS/Bloomington folks as a true snapshot, as far as Judging info goes...no doubt aboot that. As a Collector car/investment, I just don't see the crazy number(it's at only $90 tho right now) being legit.
Someone is gunna make a killing on it if it actually sells for that, tho....there's a sucker borned every minute, eh?

My thoughts exactly !! that is a $35k car maybe push it into the $40 k range for someone who really wants one but $90 k plus is crazy !!! plus will require a lot of time and $$ to even get it running not to mention who many gaskets will prob need replacing and how good are all the rubber hoses/belts etc...

What did it finally sell for? Even an untouched pristine Pace Car doesn't bring much more than 35k.
