Does anyone have a failsafe to keep the wheel caps from popping
off?? I have heard of using a few dabs of silicone, and today
someone suggested Velcro. Any advice is well appreciated.
I lost one Sunday, went back and found it, and really do not want to go through that again.

Peter, when I put 82 wheels on the CE I got new center caps. Even though they were tight, I remembered all of the horror stories. I used clear silicone on them, 4 small dabs. Of course I put it on the inside, but you can't do that with the CE ones. I would snap the cap on and put a dab where it meets the rim.

Anothere CE owner told me to take black electrical tape. On the inside, one complete circle on the inside.
I did it just to play it safe.

I may have to try the electrical tape. That sounds like a good idea. I bought a swept fin spinner kit from Ecklers to replace my stock caps and faded emblems. I love the way they look, but they attach with hex screws that sort of clamp them in and I don't think its very effective. I put a little glue on them, that's worked pretty good so far except on one, luckily it came off when I was pulling off the tire and not when I was driving.

I use masking tape on the inside circle of the wheel cap. It makes for a snug fit. . . . .and seems to work okay.
