...is interchangeability a word?

I have located "rain coat" or fabric t-tops from a 78-82; does anyone know if will these fit a 77?

thanks

The latches are different and the raincoat uses the standard latching to hold it on the car. I thought they made one for earlier years. Try calling them.

Interchangeability is a word...at least in the aerospace industry.

When I worked for a big corporation, they used "interchangeability" to mean that any of us could be replaced any time.  It sounds better now when you are talking about Corvette parts.

I got mine from Mid-America, about $270 a lot cheaper than Eckler's.

68-77 tops will swap/interchange among years.
78-82 tops will swap/interchange.

To fit 78-82 tops on earlier cars, the rear latch hardware has to be updated to the that of the 78-82 models shown below.
