If any of the ladies are planning a trip to Bowling Green, please e-mail me and let me know. It'd be fun to get together.
Only problem is that my '71 still lives in Florida. The '96 is in KY.

I will be in Bowling Green at the end of the month....not a C3VR or Forum gathering...just a bunch of us ''Vette'' people that get together a couple of times a year.

Welcome everyone. :-) My shark is blue on blue. I've got to figure out how to do the signature thing here I suppose.
Lidia - that sounds like a plan. :) I get to go to lovely Cleveland for a graveyard shift wind tunnel test tomorrow. Too bad they don't have a supersonic tunnel near Bowling Green. :) BTW Tony - You're in the Ladies room!

If you are looking at NCRS certification, it should be the original color. However, if you want to enjoy the car and if you don't care for the original color, paint it what you like. When we discovered the original color of our '68 (ugly burnt orange) we did not paint it the original color! My '75 is not numbers matching. It has '82 seats, '82 dovetail and is painted 'bright yellow with chrome spoke wheels. Will have to get a picture posted one of these days. The car turns heads everywhere I go. Had to build shelves to accomodate all the tropies. I like the way YLOROSE looks and drives. The suspension has been upgraded, improving the ride and the handling. Over the past two years I have had in engine built for me and redid the entire undercarriage with many hours put in by my wonderful husband and the assistance of many of our friends in the Rochester Corvette Club. The day we started the engine for the first time all the guys were there helping out and providing moral support. She now sports a 355 ci, 405 hp engine with chambered exhaust. It's okay to be fast, but unless you couple fast with loud, what is the point! I guess what I am trying to say is, make your car what you want it to be and not what someone else wants. I call the vette my decompression chamber. No matter how bad the day at work, if I can come home and even just sit in her for a few minutes, it makes the day fantastic.
A Corvette will transport you to another plane of existence! Sit back and enjoy and take your time. It took us two years to complete the interior. Meanwhile it was about the same amount of time to detail the original engine compartment.
I agree. Drive for a while and see what you need to do mechanically. The key word is DRIVE!
