Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79

You ladies have any good suggestions for something I can set up for my wife to do or a place to go by herself for a day (possibly overnight) as a way for her to get away and relax?

Adam,

If you're talking about repaying her for your absence to go to Carlisle, May I suggest doing what I do for my wife.

Find a great day spa for her to go to.If your wife is anything like mine-this will be Nirvana to her. Get one all-inclusive package deal, you'll save a little on that. Now granted, these places aren't cheap, but, it will let her know that she is just as important as your Corvette. (we won't tell her what's really going through your head)

You'll be the greatest Man in the world, when she comes home after that.

Alan

P.S. Nice seeing you again.

Adam, I'm with gribble. Find one that gives lunch and a massage and your set.

Adam,

I DITTO three that.  My lady says that is a good way to keep each others sanity.    She would also feel good and refreshed after she is done there.    Maybe some happy, happy, joy, joy when she returns!

If that is the type of relaxation she enjoys, then go for it.
My wife, on the other hand, would consider that extravagant and wasteful of OUR money.
But if I gave her a few c-notes from my Corvette Fund and told her to go buy herself something nice, she would be thrilled.
On the other hand, my 30+ year-old daughter just loves going to a day spa and being pampered.
To each their own.
