Vette(s): 1970 350cid/350hp 4 speed Mulsanne Blue/blue interior, convertible/white top, original engine, PS, PB, rally wheels.

No smog pump.  And I did find the jack in the cubby.  I bought a small hydrolic jack for "just in case" and for doing things underneath.  I just took all wheels off one by one cleaned, polished, and touched up silver paint, looks so much better.  The hydrolic jack makes it so easy assuming you can get the lug nuts off.  And I agree that I am glad to have the car, trophy or no trophy, but it would be cool!!!

Awsome! I have several small hydolic jacks too, but I only use 'em at the house. I have to "sneak" to do stuff to my car. My husband says NOTto jack the car up and work on it unless he's at home. UNFAIR!
Because he get's really angry with me when I want to work on it period. Heck, I can hardly even talk about the Gold Thing. Maybe he's jealous of it?? I was trying to get him interested in getting a Vette for himself so we could drive them to the Vette Club meetings and activities. So, he said he liked the C5 and we ran across a good deal and bought it. Now he won't drive it and says that it's for me. I didn't want a C5 and I have to pretend that I like it now.

I hope you get your Trophy!

Have the man get his own vette!!!  A vette he is interested in that is.  Sell the C5 and get another C3 or a C2--my second choice.  Maybe if he got a big block or a car with a bigger engine than the gold thing he would be exited about it.  I don't like to share, I guess because I am an only child, selfish-maybe, I don't know.  My husband and I are so looking forward to going to shows and cruise nights.  Especially since we can both drive, our only ongoing argument.  I must admit that my husband does the work on the vette(s) that requires alot of stregth or more indepth knowledge of mechanicals.  But he runs it by me first on the 70.  Probably the reason hubby doesn't want you to jack the car up or whatever when he isn't there is that he thinks you might hurt your little self  The little lady thing maybe?  My husband is wonderful but does seem to have that idea at times.  But however it works it's just great to have a vette!  Or two.

Then have him trade the C5 for a big engine Shelby Mustang!!!!!  I know I am just full of suggestions for everyone else  My husband says I always have an answer for anything --although not always the correct one!!!

Man, don't take that the wrong way about snobby rich statement. These people are actually really nice. I will be painting on the walls in the plush dog pins. It's supposed to be soothing to the dogs and make them feel more at home. I'll be painting wall landscapes, buildings, trees, etc. Gonna be fun!! Starting early - 6:00am. There's a deadline. Should I drive my Gold Thing??

My Toot rides in my Vette - way in the back of the cubby hole.

Who or what is "Toot"?  And of course you should drive your GOLD THING  I guess I'm just hyped up becuase I haven't actually been able to enjoy my car yet.  Cause I got it in December and am now waiting for the engine and the weather.  I cannot wait
