I agree with most of the posts. If it is for "women only" then so it should be, but it is for vette women. I do think that sometimes the women are looking for encouragement or cudos from the male section. It's true that they can get that from other places on this site, but they might want to "run it by the girls" first.. We have an r-rated section why can't we have a "women only section". Lets hear from all you young, beautiful ladies out there. Don't let us guys decide for you.

Jim

Ladies Forum only !!!, sure as long as we have a MENS forum only, both of which are bad ideas.

This is a CAR club not a sex club granted it is mainly men, I personally like to hear the ladies veiws and welcome them to the club, I also like to read what they do to their cars and if I am restricted because of my sex what is the point of being in a CAR club which is sexist.

Ok...so it seems the majority thinks the Women should not/do not need their own locked forum.  So let me ask you this.... do we need to keep this separate Women's Forum at all? It really doesn't get much activity.

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
usually when i talk and it has to do with women, i am wrong, but here goes anyway.  i think if it does not create a space useage problem or headaches for you adam that a forum tag for the ladies is a good idea for if nothing else it shows all new ladies that they are welcomed and excepted here, it allows ladies to post in an area that will come to the 24 forum post so other women will see a fresh post due a response from a female (hope that is clear)

I agree with 1badLarry...except for the "I am wrong" part...
I think having a Ladies Only forum is a great idea, as the ladies might not always want to talk cars, but might still want to converse with the other women here at C3VR.
Granted, it doesn't see a lot of activity, but it does show that the female Corvette owner does have a place here. It ain't just a "boys club".
In the end, it should be left up to the Ladies, imho.

I agree with Joel. Looks like the consensus of the men is let the ladies decide.

Adam, I think a ladies only forum would be fine with me. As you said it would be nice to talk about other things or even just to talk to other "women" about the cars. I don't think it's sexiest because the majority to the site are men, which is fine. A men's only forum wouldn't bother me either. We're all adults and we can come to together when we feel like it without gender issues. The site is still open to everyone. Afterall guys it's only words on a screen! EmbarrassedWink

My suggestion is take a poll of the women only and ask them to vote on the issue once and for all.Smile
