[QUOTE=Barkingowl] 1968-73: Fiberglass painted tops
These T-Tops have two clamps, a chrome die cast front guide pin and a
vinyl covered plastic headliner.
1977: Fiberglass painted tops:
These fiberglass painted T-Tops were built for 1977 only. They have two
clamps similar to the early tops but have aluminum guide pins instead of
the chrome die cast and have a vinyl covered cardboard headliner.
1977: Aftermarket Moonroof:
These roofs were originally designed to go on 1977 Corvettes as a GM
option although GM never listed them. They were offered as an
aftermarket product and were distinguished by a painted fiberglass
border which surrounded the glass inlet. They were made in several
configurations so they could fit both styles of the C3 roofs. Colors
included: bronze, silver, dark, gold and a rose tint.
1978-82:Fiberglass painted tops
The fiberglass tops are distinguished by having one clamp, a spear in the
back and a vinyl covered cardboard headliner.
1978-82: Glass T-Tops
The glass tops made for the 1978-82 period can be easily retrofitted to
the 1968 to 1977 Corvettes by removing the triangular shaped
adjustment pin located in the upper rear door pillar roof panel. These
tops were made with LOF brand glass in bronze, blue, solar cool and
neutral tints.
